Had my official weigh-in today and lost 5lbs this week!

So that makes 10 stones and 2lbs lost

    On water consumption

This appears on the minimins Forum - I thought that the reply from Cambridge was interesting -

Question:- "I am aware CD recommend a minimum of 4 pints of water per day. I see on various forums many CDCs advocating 4 - 6 litres or more per day. Do Cambridge endorse this? As CDCs are actively suggesting this quantity, saying "The more you drink the more you shrink" is there any scientific proof that this is beneficial?"

    Reply:-
"As far as the water is concerned, we have no connection with that
phrase, as I am sure you are aware, the forum chat is not endorsed by
    the company.
We recommend a minimum of two and a half litres daily, when using any
    programme, particularly sole source.
However, once established on the diet, it is perfectly acceptable to
consume three to four litres daily.
Some people, particularly those who were drinking large amounts before
dieting, can drink more than that without any problems.
    Everyone's requirement is different.
The thing to remember is to drink the water regularly throughout the
    day.
It is not a good idea to go for long periods of the day without
drinking, and then consume large amounts"

    Welcome!

If you find that the SS isn't sufficient to keep you going with a heavy physical job then do go to SS+ or 810. The losses are very similar.

I had very little problem the first few days on SS so hopefully you won't either.

Drink 3L of water if you can. Don't pick or cheat as it does hinder the weight loss as you are taking in extra calories.

Hope all goes well for you!

I have a mate who was 20 stone.

She did the Cambridge diet for a year, and got under 10 stone, and looked great.

She has put on half a stone in the last 18 months since she finished, and still looks amazing!

Hi everyone, I;m in my 5th day and feeling quite down - the time of the month and everything!!
I had almost decided that I was going to get weighed tonight and then start the Atkins.
This was mainly because of the cost of CD, my wish to eat actual food rather than just drink and because I figured that I would already be in ketosis.
After stumbling on this site I feel that after reading your stories I can go on for at least another week.
I've been hearted that the weight can stay off and that so far I have not read any really scary or negative stories on here.
    Thanks xx
