hi all - hope everyone is doing well. first weigh in tomorrow. Week has gone surprisingly well. i have loved all the shakes i have had and have managed to cook for the family without being tempted. I have times when i feel really hungry but i dont have any cravings so its been easy so far. I am sure it wont always be that easy!! I do feel a bit lethargic tho - am hoping that will that will pass. will post my results tomorrow. I did lose 5lbs between booking the appointment and getting my supplies so am not expecting my first loss to be as amazing as some peoples.0

good luck October road, I also have my weigh in tomorrow but I have cheated, the other day I had some chrisps (not a whole packet) and today I had a small bowl of pasta with some homemade sauce, and tonight I pinched a tiny boiled new potatoe - not bad I thinks concidering I cook for the family and sit and watch them eat in front of me - the !!!!!!s ;-)

hello to everyone. well when i had my wakeup call and booked my appt which was 11 days ago I weighed 14st 9lbs and I am 5ft five!!! By the time I got my supplies four days later I had lost 5lbs and today after 1 week on the diet I have lost another 5lbs and 2 and a half inches off my waist and half an inch off my hips. Am ok with that although i would have liked to have done more, i definitely hvent cheated at all. I would love to get down to 9 stone but dont know if that is unrealistic (i am 50 btw). i asked about exercise as i have got a treadmill and she says it is ok so long as i only do 30 mins of brisk walking a day as i wont have the energy to run - so that is what i hve done tonight which has used up 200 calories. Am feeling really good and ready for the second week. am spending the day with two friends tomorrow and they will be eating huge amounts - hve already warned them i cant eat. it was a bit sticky getting them on board but think i have convinced them that i cant deviate from the diet for just one day. life has to go on - cant hide away. good luck to everyone else on their journey0

What a brilliant thread! I've spent ages reading through (ok I'll be honest, I didn't read every single page!)
I am starting CD on 4 June (there is a reason behind the date, I won't bore you with it) and the CDC is coming to see me tomorrow. I really want to make a good start on this and I thought I would be starting with shakes and soups, 3 a day, going by a lot of the threads on here. This CDC is selling me 4 'meals' per day, which I beleive is because of a change in the law, but she has said I can do 3 a day if I want to. She recommends I have 4 , including a choc bar and 200ml of milk.
What I'm wondering is do you guys agree with this or would you advise something different? The bricks would be good as I work in sales, and have my lunch in the car, so it would be much easier just to eat one of these rather than make up a liquid, but will it affect my weight loss?
It makes it a lot more expensive to have 4 obviously, she also charges a £5 delivery charge which is making my first lot (2 weeks worth) over £100. There is a CDC about 5 minutes from my house, but he kept telling me he didn't have his diary and he'd phone me later with an appointment and then didn't, so I have to go with one who is further away hence the deliveries.
Well done to all of you guys, you really have inspired me!!I can't look into the future, but the futures where I'm walking to0 -
Your CDC is trying to sell you SS+
SS+ is either 4 shakes + milk
or
3 shakes plus a meal.
No bars are allowed until Week 3 anyway
There is no reason why you couldn't do SS itself. If you have any medical problems or medication you would need to have your medical form signed by your GP.
Since the rules changed on VLCD's your CDC must write to your GP to inform him that you are doing SS anyway.
Having 3 tetras in a day won't upset your weight loss at all but you must have an extra 1/4 pint of water per tetra per day on top of the 4 pints recommended to start with.
Cambridge is a fabulous diet and I would recommend it to anyone.
Hope all goes well for you !0 -
Well, what can I say about the Power Trainer?
Mine arrived yesterday and I put it together - took me under the 20 mins stated
Had a go before I went out last night. Then again when I came back.
Wow!! I could feel what it had done when I had gone to bed. I felt as if I had done a very long gym session!
This morning - I DEFINITELY know what it has done!
Wow! This is fantastic0 -
Hi everyone, hope youre all doing well. Good luck to anyone just starting. I have lost 1st 5lbs in 2 weeks and 6 days. I am very pleased and my confidence has already got better. I have 2 stone to go, so should be at my goal by my holiday at the end of August.
How are you doin wishful?0
