Hi all, this is now day 13 and im feeling good about it all, apart from a rotten cold! I have my first official weigh in tonight. I got over my indigestion issues and now know the shakes which i like and dont like. Its all trial and error at first. I am managing to drink 4ltrs water a day and i have one cup of coffee in the mornings. I dont feel hungry at all and dont even have my first shake until 12pm ish. I have noticed a few new people and wanted to say, stick with it because as a few others told me here, it does get easier. Ill post tonight after ive seen my cdc
    Good luck everyone
  • Good Afternoon, I have no weight loss to report since my last weigh in with my CDC, but am pleased to say that after several functions that I have
attended, the weight has stayed the same. :j

Well done to Cute 'n' Quirky for your loss again this week, I was wanting to know if you work for Cambridge Diet at all, as your knowledge of it all is outstanding, and you seem to be the 'Top Cat' of this thread so to speak. I also want to know if you have ever had something that you shouldn't have had ( apart from your holiday), or have you stuck religiously to the diet i.e just the 3 shakes/tetras each day?

    Best wishes to you all

Lol ..... no I don't work for Cambridge.

Knowledge has only come through experience of the diet for myself for all these months!! Have done SS, AAMW, 790 and 1000 plan so far.

I did SS for 8 weeks then went onto 790 which I did until the week before I went to Malta when I did 1000 Plan, then fell off the wagon for two weeks. Have done SS for three weeks again now.

If I have been out when on SS (first time around) I stuck to an AAMW type meal of chicken and salad. Had a couple of social events to attend when on 790 which were preplanned plus a Wedding.

I don't pick at anything I am not supposed to have although I have wanted to, believe me I have wanted to! If it isn't in the house I cannot give in to temptation. If I have been given boxes of chocolates as gifts I have given them away immediately for raffle prizes.

I don't have to cook for anyone else so I can keep all food out of the house except for what I am allowed to have when on 790. Folks who have to cook for families have my sympathies as it must be very hard to do that and stick to SSing particularly.

Right now I am enjoying being back on SS again and will stay on it for a few more weeks. I go to Germany at the end of July for a week and will just do 790. Will take tetras and bars with me and have just one meal at night. I can't have the bread that they have for breakfast, the rolls or baguettes (due to the wheat intolerance).

Sometimes it has been very hard and I am not denying that. To stick to any diet is hard as we are restricting ourselves anyway.

When I started out I had a LOT of weight to lose and it had to come off reason or none. Once I got the bit between my teeth there was no going back.

Now I haven't got any of my bigger clothes at all so I can't gain any weight otherwise I will have nothing to wear!

I am enjoying being able to have loads of CHOICE in clothes. Can go into any shop knowing that they will fit. I am just about into a 16 now.

I should have done Cambridge years and years ago.

Would highly recommend it to anyone.

My GP is really impressed that I have no saggy skin, that I look fit and healthy, my eyes are sparkling, my skin is glowing. You don't get that with a lot of restricted diets but because Cambridge provides total nutrition it keeps our bodies right. I have a blood test every month due to toxic medication that I take for RA - those blood tests have remained absolutely perfect throughout. My GP is now recommending Cambridge to his patients whom have tried xenical and everything else as my results have been so good.

Hope all goes well for everyone else!!

Are you going to go for 'Cambridge Dieter of the Year'? and have you ever thought about being a CDC? I would have thought that with your weight losses and your knowledge of the diet, that you would be just perfect!
I hope you dont mind me asking, but what was your starting weight, and also what goal are you aiming for? The top or bottom end of your ideal BMI?

Right this is it for me....

    Weight as of today - 11 Stone 1 1/2lbs
    Goal Weight - 10 Stone ( 9 1/2 if im lucky!!!)

Anyone fancy a diet buddy?? as could really do with the encouragement and obviously i would give the encouragement back lol!!!

CNQ - I think once you get to goal you should def go for slimmer of the year and even a CDC position - you would be fab!!!

Thanks very much Wishful. You can do it. I went to my inlaws on sunday and they had a BBQ. I said all morning that i wasnt going to and then, at the last minute i decided on having a burger and salad. I felt so guilty afterwards, but also fulfilled at the same time. I have been back on the diet since and am very pleased with my results. There have been many times i have thought about having something to eat and apart from sunday, i havnt. It takes a lot of will power and i just tell myself that im not gonna get there if i eat what i want, as thats how i got here in the first place!
Good luck and let us know how you get on. Everyone here is great for support, so you know where to go if youre on a downer
