I make crisps with psyllium husks (bowel fibre) from Healthspan.co.uk
One tablespoon husks one tablespoon chicken and mushroom soup, mix into a paste and put it in blobs on a microwaveable greaseproof teflon paper thing for 2 minutes or until crispy, they do burn though - I know this for sure!
Hardly Haute Cuisine but with a big soup its almost like a meal!
CD is an amazing diet good luck everybody doing it, I am almost a 14 having started off a 20

Are the crisps better with the psyllium husks added then?

hi
I have never tried them without to be honest, it just bulks them out plus it helps with "other things"
I tried drinking the stuff with water but it was disgusting so now I make crisps with my soup every night

You can make porridge with the psyllium husks too0

hi poe - yeah - heres to both of us. had the banana shake for brekkie - loved that - had the choc tetra at lunch - that was a bit weird - and had the fruits of the forest shake at night - which was fine. its gone a lot bettter than I thought it would - thought i would struggle to get them down. Am feeling positive and looking forward to my first weigh in next week. hardest thing is going to be meeting some friends for the day next week. one friend always cooks mountains of food and i am going to have to be really strong not to let them sway me from the straight and narrow. how do the rest of you cope with social occasions?0

Try the tetras frozen as ice-cream mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!
Freeze them. Take one out and leave it at least one hour then cut the packaging away and put into a bowl
It is truly divine!0 -
Re social occasions - depends what it is.
If it is something special like a birthday or a wedding I will arrange to have whatever I can eat from the menu available.
If it is just a get-together I don't eat at all, just have water0 -
Hi All
Im new to this thread although have been a lurker for some time.
Started the CD last Friday on SS, was doing well up until Monday evening and cheated having a small salmon salad - was really in need of food. Got back on it Tuesday and then had another salad Tuesday night with bread this time oh and cheese, then a bowl of cereal!!, so today i thought i would get back on again and now i just cant stop eating crap and im not even hungry -
So far i have had:
Brekkie - Vanilla shake
then i have had 1 1/2 slices thick eggy bread with maple syrup, 4 choc digestives, 1 mini milk and one prawn mayo roll - I now feel sick!!!
Why am i doing this to myself??? I am soooooooo !!!!!! off, i cant stick to the diet and i need to, i go on holiday in a little under 8 weeks and i want to look good in my swim costume and not have people look at me thinking 'llook at the state of that'
God im sooooooooooo angry with myself - is there anyone else struggling??
Please somebody, give me a wake up call to get me motivated again as i really need to stick to this blooming diet!!!!!!!!!
Thanks)

What about making a list of all the reasons you want to lose weight?
Also take an item of clothing in a smaller size and hang it in a visible place in the kitchen as a reminder of why you are doing this.
If you are struggling on SS without food why not try SS+ with a small meal to look forward to every day - the weight losses are very similar to that of SSing and if it helps you to stick to it then it might be a good idea.
Hope you can find a way through this. Cambridge really does work.
