Glad to see you're still doing so well CnQ. Have a lovely holiday! After all you have achieved you deserve it...Enjoy!
  • Have lost more weight at weigh-in today for all I have been on 1000 plan for a week!

Fingers crossed that I stay the same or at least don't gain whilst I am away!

Going to do Sole Source for about four weeks on my return anyway.

Behave yourselves whilst I am away!

I am starting on Friday so that the weekend should act as a buffer if I feel rough on days two and three....
    Oh and I wasn't 18 stone at weigh in, I was 'only' 17st 2lbs...
    :o

If I could get to 12 and a half stone by the start of September I'd be happy as a pig in muck. It's certainly doable listening to you lot.
  • Hi - I have been on the Cambridge Diet for 5 weeks now and lost 18lbs. I have found it really easy to stick to which has really surprised me. i thought that would feel hungry. Water consumption is the hardest but that is free! Yipee! i've developed a liking for hot water!!?

I know that £35 pw sounds a lot but I have saved money on my weekly shopping because I am not buying sandwiches @£2.50, crisps, chocolate etc. It just makes you think twice about buying snacks etc that I normally wouldn't hesitate to buy.

I think that with me I haven't cheated much because I am paying to have the sachets and it is just wasted money if i didn't stick to it. Also I visit the supermarket alot less so less temptation for impulse buys!

All i can say is - try it. What have you got to lose?

One tip though - start it though when you have a week with no social committments - it will just be easier

    Hope this helps
  • That is fabulous GG - well done x

Thank you, hope you have a wonderful holiday

Hi, I've been lurking on this thread for a couple of days now and read through it all with great interest. Anyway, today I've taken the plunge and made contact with a local CD counsellor, but she can't see me until a week on Tuesday  Grrr! I want to start NOW!!

What can I be doing in the meantime to get a head start when I (hopefully) finally do get going on CD?
    Extra Payment Every Week Challenge:
    Week 1: £29.68
    Week 2: £14.95
    Week 3: £5.05

Cut down on the carbs and increase your water intake. This will make it easier when you first start. If you've got any special occasions coming up get the celebratory meal out of the way now. Also, find a piece of clothing in a smaller size to try on every week. This keeps you motivated as you will soon fit into it and soon after that it will be too big for you!

I'm 3 months in and over 3 stone down ( not sure exactly as CD counsellor gone on her hols for 3 weeks). I have another stone and a bit to go. The time has flown by and I can't say that i've ever really felt deprived. Just enjoy your last week of normality!!

I'm on Day 3 of CD and am hoping today is better than yesterday!

Had a bad afternoon in particular, though did feel better after an afternoon nap!

Have been out for a gentle bike ride this morning (instead of the running I should have done - just don't feel able to do it), and have decided to have all 4 diets today, having only had 3 on Day 1 and Day 2. I'm on the cusp of 5'8" and run 3 times a week, so am thinking I'll have 4 on my exercise days - does anyone have any thoughts?

Am very motivated - my oh has lost 4stone on LL in 5 weeks, so even though I know I can't achieve those results that quickly, I know that those lbs will start melting away!!!

    Good luck to you all.

    Day 1...

My fiance and I started CD today, I'm a veteran of LL from about 3 years ago, lost 5 stone and kept 3.5 off.

We are losing weight for our wedding next year and as we are rubbish at eating healthily for any length of time we have decided this was the best idea.
