Welcome back C&Q, hope you had a wonderful holiday, i noticed that you have removed your weight loss from you posts, did you gain very much whilst away?, I know that you had lost 9st 6lbs which is absolutely fantastic! I have lost a further 10lbs in the last fortnight, which brings my running total up to 21lbs now, I must admit that i have struggled for the past couple of days as I have had several social events which i have had to attend, but i have picked carefully what i have eaten.
Hope your plan to go back on SS goes smoothly for you

Well, I have really bad water-retention which affects the weight, of course.
I fell off the wagon but had no wheat/cereals/pasta as I am wheat intolerant.
I am 14lbs heavier this morning than I was the day I went away to Malta.0 -

Hi CnQ, I'm new to CD but having read your inspiring posts while you were away, I've no doubt that 14lb will be off before you know it!
The most important thing is not that you gained weight, but that you had a great time while doing it, and have the conviction to pick up where you left off!
Best wishes to you.0 -
I tend to think that most of the 14lbs is water-retention.
I haven't eaten enough calories in a day to make up 3500 x 14 for a start!
Should be off really fast, though - hopefully!0 -
I have just noticed your ticker on the Cambridge Diet Forum, it shows 129lbs lost, when in fact it should show 132lbs (9st 6lbs)lost, as you did have a 3lb loss before you went on holiday, hope you dont mind me pointing that out, but 3lbs is 3lbs and as we know, a loss is good however small it may be! If you were on the 1000 plan, what do you think added to your weight gain as i have noticed that you did not eat any wheat, potatoes, pasta, rice etc, and i am feeling slightly apprehensive of the plans now if you can gain a stone in only a fortnight

I did the 1000 plan for one week before I went on holiday and lost weight.
I fell off the wagon in Malta - it wasn't the Cambridge 1000 Plan's fault it was mine!
I have a lot of water-retention going on due to the flight - which will account for at least half of the 14lbs
Don't worry about the 1000 Plan - they are designed to work - I mucked it up myself. Having alcohol, ice-cream and chocolate...............0 -
Hope you dont mind me asking, but what sort of food was you eating whilst on holiday? and also what alcohol did you drink? Hope you dont mind me asking, but I am going away for a fortnights cruise later on in the year, and I really need advice on what i will be able to consume whilst away, also I am rather partial to a tipple or two, so would like to know which drinks will be less calorific

No problem!
I am down 7lbs this morning - which is all water - thank heavens that has gone!
I had a Gin & Tonic or two per day plus a carafe of white wine
I also had ice-cream every day and chocolate a few times too
Methinks I had too many vegetables too and because they only had one or two vegetables per day I couldn't stick to the white/green veg so I had had carrots/broad beans/green beans which I shouldn't have had
The lunchtime salad was a nightmare - for all we were on AI. The salad was -
lettuce
tomato - can't have it as it really upsets my arthritis & gives me pain
potatoes in mayonnaise
veg in mayonnaise
beetroot
tuna in mayonnaise
etc etc
lots of choice but all in mayonnaise!
So that was a problem and I did have beetroot which is not allowed on CD but I love it. Beetroot is high in carbs
By Day 3 I had given up on the CD packs altogether and brought them home with me.0 -
Another 2lbs down today making 9lbs loss in 2 days on Sole Source!0

Has anyone had any success doing the cambridge diet - I know all the negative crash dieting stuff but sometimes desperate measures call for desperate times.
It is £35per week so not cheap - or money saving!
What I am really after is honest experiences really.
Thanks - lisa
My best m8 tried and has done fantastic with it,
she was a big girl (sorry k) but 9 months later wow, i told her not to stand sideways because i wouldn't see her, she is now a councellor for them.
see for yourself, nothing like looking at before and after piccys for proof
