I, too, have tried various diets, including Atkins which worked well till I got tired of the restricted menu.
Around 7 weeks ago, I picked up Tescotracker from this site; and it's FREE!
http://www.tescotracker.com/Default.aspx
I have since lost 10lb in weight and feel I could stay on this long term. It is not really a diet but a way of managing to maintain a healthy balanced diet. I think it is brilliant. There is a good database of foods (not just Tescos) and you can make up your own meals and save them for easy insertion later. You can also make a list of your 'favourites'.
A big thank you to Moneysavingexpert:-)

I'm getting worried about my weigh in tonight - I know I am going to have put on loads! But I think I am prepared for it. I suffer from PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) and it causes you to put on weight at an alarming rate if your not careful.
Other than that though Im feeling positive - going to have the "last supper" tonight and then back to it tomorrow. I'm really going to try my hardest not to slip this time, I've been messing with this diet now for well over 12 months and theres really no need for it, if I had stuck to it in the beginning I would have lost all I want/need to ages ago!
Have also made up my mind to start some exercise to help with the toning, starting with swimming once a week and a step class once a week, building up to 2 x swimming, 1 step class and 1 long walk. I'm also going to try and fit in some yoga to if I can. Should keep me busy anyway and stop me from thinking about FOOOOOD!!
Hope everyone else is ok.Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
Hiya Clare, It's good to have you back. Don't worry about the weigh-in too much, what will be will be. You were on your hols , you enjoyed yourself & now you sound like you're prepared to get back in the saddle and get yourself down to your goal weight.
I've been doing some exercise myself (Exercise DVDs) but at times on ss it's been a bit too much & last weekend I felt physically exhausted so at the moment I'm only exercising if I feel physically up to it. I think your idea to slowly build up the amount of exercise makes sense if you're planning to ss.
Also I was watching Richard & Judy earlier this week & the Diet Dr was telling a young woman on his plan who'd started going to the gym 5 times a week to cut down to 3 times a week for 30-60 mins max saying that she need to exercise at a rate she could maintain. So that's the excuse I need to pace myself:D0 -
WOW aellon you've done really well, just saw your sig!! Well done you thats flipping fab, I bet you feel wonderful don't you!!
Well I had the grand weigh in - 12 pounds on. I wasn't to gutted since that's what I expected anyway. Still I'm back on the wagon today, I've just had a choccy tetra for brekky and am just opening my first bottle of water. Looking forward to getting back to the diet actually, I feel rubbish lately and Im sure it's down to all those monster carbs I've been eating.
I'm going to start off on 2 exercises a week this week, this will be a walk on Sunday and a step class on Monday. I wish I could spread my exercise out a bit more over the week but I can't because I'm busy for the rest of the week in the evenings - but I do have Wednesday off work so I might dig out a fitness DVD and blow off the cobwebs if I'm feeling particularly active!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -

Morning everyone
Just thought i would let you know i saw my new CDC yesterday and she is fantastic she lost 6 stones herself and knows how hard it is to fight temptation but like she says one day at a time
I have been really good(started monday) and im drinking all the water i should plus sometimes more i have nearly 3 L daily but a couple of days ive had 4. I find it easier to drink most of it in the morning then i have my first shake at 1
Anyway hope everyone is doing well and for those that do eat and are struggling i done this last year and the trouble is the moment you start eating you want more and when i think back i could have lost loads more weight than what i did if i had stayed on the plan and i was exactly like you emmy because i didnt see my CDC i was naughty but im determined this time because i want to lose the weight so much and with the support on here,my CDC(she said i can text/ring her anytime) and my family im going to do it we all are:A
