    thats great :D
  • The CD Diet is fabulous and you will be at your goal weight in no time at all!

  • Hello everyone. I read MSE all the time as I use it for work. This thread was the reason I went on the CD.

I'm a little over 5'8 and weigh 12.3 stone, my CDC was a little reluctant to put me on SS because technically i'm not over-weight, but I said i'd add the caolries up with milk in a coffee or a banana.

It's my 4th day now and i'm finding it so hard. I am really hungry all the time. Last night I didnt have my 3rd shake because I was at the cinema and had a few carrot sticks. So when I got home I had a few mouthfuls of mince and half a slice of bread. And on my 2nd night I had all 3 shakes AND asmall tuna steak (on its own, grilled). I just NEEDED the food, I was so hungry.

Does this mean I won't loose weight? I really just wanted a kick-start before the summer, I want to loose 2 stone pretty quickly, i'd love to be a size 8/10.

I just need a bit of reassurance and to know that those downfalls so soon wont affect me too much?! Oh and the non-alcahol thing is killing me (i'm 21 and have a busy social life) would it be terrible to have a vodka soda or gin and slim line tonice this weekend?!

    HELP!

I am sorry but I cannot give you the reassurance you want to hear.

All those things you mentioned - highlighted in red - are a nono and will knock you out of ketosis which will make you MORE hungry.

Alcohol is a huge no-no on SS - it is dangerous to drink alcohol on SS.

Maybe you should try the 810 plan which will allow you to eat?

  • I don't feel like my CDC explained things that well, then. She said due to my height etc. I am allowed extras e.g a banana. Oh how annoying

So the 890 diet, will the weight loss be quite slow?

    Thankyou for your reply x
  • I have been on 790 for 5 months.

810 is just 20mls extra of skimmed milk. 810 was only introduced this month. 790 is still ongoing if you wanted to do that.

Anyone can do the 810 as it is technically not a VLCD being over 800 cals per day. You would have three meal replacements plus a meal per day down to your BMI of 24/25 then move up to 1000 etc

I average the 14lbs per calendar month on 790 with no problems at all. In fact, in the last four weeks I have lost 14lbs in FOUR weeks.

You cannot add any fruit or anything else to the plan at all, just what you are allowed to have.

1000 plan allows for fruit but not bananas as they are very high in carbohydrate.

  • Ok thankyou for your help, you explained everything much better than my CDC!
  • My pleasure!

Hope all goes well for you x
