Pigpen are you sure we don't share a household? Owen sits on the computer either looking at ebay, muscle building powders or watching men work out on youtube or playing Angry Birds....although if he doesn't start helping he will have an angry bird of all his own!
!We could well be Sammy.. I've been up since 6 with miss screech and he is still in bed.. I want to slap him senseless.. why should he be in bed while I listen to this evil noise?..
When I look back on my time with as a 'family' with the ExH and the Vallikids I used to feel I was the glue pulling it all together...he used to say he couldn't manage both the kids together - it was too much - but I did it everyday. When I spilt from him the feeling of NOT being pulled one way by him and the other way by the kids - well I felt like a tug-of-war rope.
All the times I feel like this is hard work (and it is) I know that pulling it all together was harder. No way will I EVER 'settle' again. I would rather be man-free.
It's like I had 3 kids. Some men, and the attitudes they have re their toys (x boxes, fishing tackle, PCs, golf clubs, whatever) need to get real.
I have been to my sisters. We (dd and I) got back about 8. Freedom!

What a flipping evening, t r a m p has been on facebook to me explaining what happened and giving me her number and telling me to ring her. I think she's abit mental, why on earth does she not just leave me alone.
Then i get a second message from the druggies gf and she just told me where KH is, which i knew where he'd go anyway and i was right. Plus she's leaving her number and telling me to ring her. Is it me or are they all mad....:mad::mad:
On the house front i've found 2, 1 has lovely gardens but decor is really old school, cheap rent tho, location not to bad and it's pretty close to my ones. Number 2 is massive, new build house with a sun room (not that we get sun) but rent is expensive, better location for school, playgroup and DD's taxi for school. Both are empty at the minute. Think i'll just have to ring tomorrow.
Flying wise kids decluttered to bed and very much overtired, Dw been loaded.
Thanks I'll mention about the old order to the solicitior tomorrow and hopefully have it sorted asap.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
for Valli (and other teachers...) I noticed this on a thread entitled 'Spill the beans ......on end of term presents for teachers'
For the ideal gift - NOT what I heard from one teacher in a rough part of town - got proudly presented by a child with a vibrator, who chirpily commented "my mum says you can have this Miss, she doesn't need it anymore now she's got her new boyfriend."
I'd have loved to have seen her face...it must have been a picture...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Me I would be tempted to say that if she is going to ask for favours maybe she should consider whether charging for favours given was a good idea. But I know it's hard to say no.
Vanilla - you have given that man more than enough rope. He has now hung himself. You are now free.
My BIL (NOT my favourite person in the world) has come home to ironed shirts (and they are XXXXXL so a lot of shirt. Each.)I think referring to me as 'your dippy sister' inappropriate. But I love my sister. I did her ironing too. *glow*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

oh the joy...
I'm so lucky - I have a shopping voucher. I also HAD a bottle of Rioja...
having said THAT I expect nothing, appreciate everything and TBH it IS what I'm paid to do - so gifts are a bonus. A verbal 'thank you' is much appreciated, too.
I have to go give my friend her xmas gift soon ( I promised to clean for her) and my sister would like me to help her spring clean so I'll be 'flying' south for a few days...she has a cleaner. Tart comment were made about the cleaner's cleaning today. Cleaning was done - why can I NOT sit still in my little sister's house?Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Huge hugs to Vanilla
Sticks for the BDs
Rockets for the lazy OHs
Ds2 made a mess with birthday cake (OHs) so I gave him the dust buster to clear it up. I left it too late with the 15 yrold so I'm not making that mistake again.
My oven broke in the middle of cooking a birthday dinner. I have arranged a repair for tomorrow so fingers crossed it will be fixable although I would quite like a shiny new one.

We had a great time signing shirts today.:):)
We've just had some kids in on work experience - 1 was a former pupil ( and he was a pain in the proverbial) but he has been brilliant! And once he got over the shock of the fact thjat me and my colleague were still there (and not dead - his words!) he has been brilliant with us - really chatty and so well mannered!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Jojo - re steam generator irons - what is your water like - hard or soft?
I live in a hard water area and steam generator irons couldn't cope with it. Both the ones I had had antiscale things fitted and both were useless... I threw the second one out in under a year - and it cost £200!
Go for something with a high pressure of steam to reduce the effort you have to put in...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0
