Pigpen~~ maybe a white board with a rota of jobs on it for your OH could help....or a power cut so he couldn't play all these games etc. I cannot remember but does he work? / if not can he work? / maybe he needs to be looking for a job, (sorry if I have over stepped the mark here) xx
He doesn't work and is looking when prodded/reminded/nagged/kicked etc.. but there is nothing we could manage to live on the wage.. I'd quite like my days to myself againI do miss them.
He is taking Squeak swimming this afternoon and takes her iceskating on a Wednesday. He has FINALLY put up the pictures his dad got him for christmas about 5 years ago... they look quite lovely in my front room! I am sick of trying not to break them in the bedroom doorway.. so I brought them down and told him there was a job for him in the front room.. crazy thing is.. it took him about 20 minutes!
Squeak fed.. WM's on, I now have 1 empty basket.. worksurfaces cleared.. I'll go wipe them down shortly. The cluttered worksurface can be done next... and then I will be buying screws for the kitchen blinds on the way to school.. then he can have another job to do lol. Hi All
Hope you are all well, my cousin who came over to watch kids for me yesterday stayed a while and had dinner with us which was nice, I thought she would be desperate to get home to meet up with her BF. I dropped her home around 7.30 then went a visit to Mr T to get my extra points & a couple of bits for DS starting school. So, needless to say, I never got any ironing done last night either as it was too late & a horrible feeling of sickness came over me in tesco so I wasn’t feeling too clever. My friend is watching kids today, am assuming her hubby will be picking her up & she is not staying for dinner & I WILL get some ironing done tonight. My bedroom is still tidy from the weekend when I also done the headboard & windows & mirrors, so just a quick hoover, dust & change the bedding (which will need ironing so no excuses).

Afternoon all
Thanks for the votes of support. Still feeling bad but I know the call was to either look after her kids after school or take her dog out at lunchtime (I can't stand dogs, sorry those of you who love them, and she knows that). What had made me stand firm is a while ago she coached my son on something for about an hour, this is related to her job. I knew she had done this for other friends foc (who had done a lot less favours than me) but she charged me £35. DH was livid, not about me spending cash but about all the favours I'd done for her, having her kids for sleepovers etc. He was very much of the opinion well if she is charging you to give some help with one of our kids then don't have hers at all for free. I feel really petty and don't want to be paid but I'm not being taken for a mug. I have chose not to work outside of school hours as I don't want to be asking favours of others. All that said I still feel bad.
Vanilla still thinking of you.
Flying - laundry only again
DS2 at Waitrose doing his till training until 5pm - need to pick him up
DS1 off to work in 5 minutes - need to drop his dinner in on the way to -
DS3 cricket match this evening - need to take him to that and stay
So just time for another cuppa and a frog. Tomorrow will be spent taking my mother to and from fracture clinic, the GP and doing her shopping.
JoJo glad you made the right choice, do you have some supplies in for you and the cats? The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Those with kids (especially boys) please don't let them turn out like your OHs. Get them to help everyday so that hopefully that will be the norm for them. My DH is one of the good ones and will do things if they are written in list form for him to tick off. Likes to do them in his order but on the whole will do them. I'm super at organizing other people though
and am much nicer to be around when others are helping
:D

funfairprincess wrote: »Jojo I have a philips steam generator I've had it for about 2 yrs it was a bit more expensive but I could never go back now to an ordinary steam iron they take so long to get the creases out in comparision. HTH
I also have a steam one, although got it from QVC or something & it does halve my ironing time, although mine takes about 30 mins to heat up so I just need to remember to set it up
Vanilla - Agree with all the other ladies, after all you have done for him, & he does this to you again, it is your decision at the end of the day & it will be hard going on your own but you have already gave him a chance & you have your PIL's on your side, and I wouldn't worry about idle gossip, you have done no wrong, him & his floozy should be the subject if they want to gossip big hugs ((()))):TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

was upstairs not realised its rained till i came down to a chair piled high with dry washing DS2 (youngest glanced up from his game and said it was raining so i thought id get the washing in for you) but i hear what you're saying Dusty i will give both boys at least a job a day during the hols. DH is great and tries but hes always at work im one of those who swaps pegs round after hes hung the washing out as its not how id have done it so he questions why he bothers some days. he always puts the rubbish and recycling out on fridays and does the mowing.SPC~12 ot 124
