Vanilla~~ a large hug from me, as the others have said stay strong, and don't take him back this tme, I wish you were nearer and we could all help you out some how. xx
Pigpen~~ maybe a white board with a rota of jobs on it for your OH could help....or a power cut so he couldn't play all these games etc. I cannot remember but does he work? / if not can he work? / maybe he needs to be looking for a job, (sorry if I have over stepped the mark here) xx

Hi all
Just catching up with the thread – wow, it's moving fast this week.:o
Sammy-Kaye welcome aboard!
Vanilla OMG I honestly do not know what to say. After all you've been through.:(:( I use Haematite as a focus for strength; I'll fetch a piece and empower it for you in a bit (ie when I've typed this post) Big (((HUGS))) my friend.
Ionafan oh no, sorry you've also got a bad shoulder. Hope yours improves quicker than mine seems inclined to.:o
Rowan tree I think mens' brains are simply not wired to see mess, and realise what wants doing.:o Mine's the same, in that I have to identify the job and point it out to him – BUT he does whatever task I ask of him, without complaint, and we now have a small list of weekend tasks that I can no longer manage, and he automatically does these now without being asked, because the routine has been set. Things like Dysoning the bungalow, ironing (I can't lift the board, and with my shoulder bad, can barely lift the iron either) and he takes the bath-lift out and cleans it thoroughly each Saturday. Also the weekly check over of the car - tyres, oil, wash-bottle, style of thing - is his province.:A:A:A
When I see the lengths some of you have to go to to get a bit of help, I really appreciate how lucky I am with Mr LW.:A:A:A
Dusty you're not a charity, and you've enough tasks of your own to do. Carry on avoiding the phone calls!;)
Piggers I think I'd be removing the plug from his PlayStation, Xbox and laptop....... but I'm mean.:D
Not a lot of actual Flying happening here today, as Mr LW is wfh today; he'll finish at 14:30 (having been slaving over a hot laptop since 06:00) and we have a gazillion errands to do in town. He's on a course all next week, so I shan't be able to do anything in town or any shopping, hence we need to get as much done today as possible.:o
Not to worry; all that's left this week is to dust the bedroom and spare room, and wallop a bit of white vinegar over the windows in those rooms.:o
I've made veggie lasagne for our dins (will do today and tomorrow, when he'll be on the late shift) and just put it in to bake.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi everyone - still lurking, lots going on here too which is keeping me busy.
Vanilla, I logged on really to send huge hugs to you. I have read your posts for years and know how hard you have tried. I am horrified he has let you and your children down so badly again.
Pigpen/Sammy Kay, no answers here. I just try really hard not to get wound up about it. Getting angry here generates a row and changes nothing sadly.
I have two hours before I have to be somewhere and I want to make a difference to this tip. HHC startng now anyone?'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

In a world that has decided that it's going to lose its mind, be more kind my friend, try to Be More Kind0 -
Vanilla, I'm so sorry, what a pig. It hurts like hell, but in the long run you'll feel better out of it xxx not that that's any help to you today xxx
All the rest of you who's oh's need a rocket up their arisses, they are like children, and discipline only works if you HIT THEM WHERE IT HURTS ie hide the game, remote, or controller etc etc. Easy if you have young children to blame... Or go on food strike. Only cook for those who pitch in?
Finished with work for week, so home with tots. Not sure which is harder work??? Littlest Moo has been wittering all morning, her new saying is "can't do it" everything from eating her breakfast to picking up a book, to fixing her 2 piece jigsaw. Fed up of hearing it already!
Second load in wm need to strip all beds today and get them washed and out whilst it's dry. Kitchens a bit cluttered so will sort when cooking lunch, sausage, mash and cauli cheese for them today. Little one seems to be getting on ok with this dairy thing. Hopefully be trying cows milk next month!
Laundry is my main to today, clothes are all in but bedding and towels next...Bossymoo

Yuk, Vanilla, just yuk. Remember, he is an adult, a fully grown man - he is not another of your children, so you owe him NOTHING. It's not his 'illness' absolving him of responsibility, it's not the daft girl that fell for his lines. And, tbh, I would expect the community is thinking 'that stupid, stupid ********. Hope she doesn't take him back again.'
I had a row with the person I was dating. Was on the way down to stay at his mother's. But he was driving like a loon, overtaking on a blind bend on a single track road with a 90 foot drop, then, when he did 90 on a 50 stretch right up the backside of an hgv, and shouted at me that I didn't know what I was talking about because I don't drive, I'd had enough. Got out at the nearest train station and came home.
Was hoping that he'd be spotted by the local police, considering he did a handbrake turn into the station car park and took off at considerable speed once I got out, but no such luck. You'd think a middle aged man would have more sense.
I'm pretty immune to speed, I fell asleep on the back of a motorbike on the motorway once, but I genuinely thought I was about to get killed or have my neck broken for a second time at any moment. Honestly, he drove like a 20 year old - just before they wrap their car around a tree and kill their passengers.
So I've got an empty house, £20 to last me and three cats until next Wednesday and the raging hump.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -

Going to try and declutter a few calories on the WiiFit now - I'm very limited as to which exercises I can do; have had to temporarily abandon my usual yoga routine as I can't lift my left arm even as far as my shoulder - so I've got the hump, too, because of that.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
