  • Pigpen and Sammy - like Good Intentions - kick up the a@@e coming your way (for your OHs!).

What is it with OHs? I truly think that they just don't see what has to be done, don't see all the work, all the mess. I've got a nice fella now, but still am 'in charge' of organising household stuff as he just doesn't see it. And, Pigpen and Sammy, sorry to tell you, but even at 60 they are still playing games on phones, iPads etc while stuff lies all around them!

I used to shout, sulk, throw things, but over the years I've found that using a strict voice (!) and say loudly, 'you hover this and take the rubbish out', or what I want, 'while I'll clean that' and pass the vac over straight away, works! I still do most, as I'm certain most on here do, but at least he b@@@@y does a share!!

Good vibes to you and I hope you get some rest - and help - soon.

Off now to do my jobs and get the vac out for OH! See you after work. X

morning all, not caught up yet

Vanilla sending you strength and massive gentle hugs. ive not been on here long enough to know 'your history' but reading the recent posts you have tried more than hard enough, for a marriage to work you need trust and loyalty - it sounds as if you have been betrayed on both counts with these. there are some men who dont learn from their mistakes and think forgivness is a green light to carry on letting you and the children down. you deserve better than that. hold your head up high you have done nothing wrong i would see a solicitor and seriously look at you and the children going back to YOUR HOME
if people want to talk let them they will probally only be saying they dont know how you stood it for so long and that you always were too good for him. HUGS

Dusty you have my sympathies as well, carry on avoiding those phone calls, when mine were younger because i work in a school "and get all summer to laze about with nothing to do" a working 'friend' thought that meant i was her free childminder so i regularly had her two to amuse for days on end. it is not fun or fair and the reason i work in a school is so i get the same hols as MY kids and can spend some time with them. pretty sure your reasons are the same.

right off to look at the lists and read back a bit further but i wanted to say special morning to you two as i read your posts on this page

I tried that yesterday.. he was upstairs 'reading' and I had our dinner, dots dinner, 6 loads dry washing, 2 wet to hang out, dw to load table to find and DS3 to get bloods/insulin done... I used my 'mummy voice' and told him and asked if he was coming down soon.. he turned up 45 minutes later after I had done it all ate his dinner and went on WoW until 2am..

I've had 4 hours broken sleep he is in for a bumpy day! .. Swimming with Squeak for him later.. and I want the hedge mincing and the kitchen needs gutting!

Take just one step at a time, Pigpen.

Don't run yourself into the ground. Give OH the toilet brush!

And keep loving your children as you so clearly do...

Washing up done and floors swept. I want to get in the shower but Ds2 is in the garden and i'm worried the crazy kitten will escape when he comes back in. I might clean the living room and then have a shower, just don't want to scare the postman anymore.
