well you will be pleased to hear that I am going back to work, even though I am still not well, and I am sure you are all glad that I will be giving up, and settling in to behave like a robot, and let people walk all over me. I give up.0

You wouldn't last long in the private sector with an attitude like that!0 -
I worked in the private sector for 20 years, and I loved it. What attitude, as I said before, have you ever had PTSD, and been suicidal.
you don't get much support on here. I have had good support from people who actually understand.0 -

Hi Pepper
Are you moving to the new job you have been offered? I hope this is the case and wish you well in the new environment. As I previously said, I am sure making a new start with new determination will be the best possible medicine for you and will surely help you put the past behind you. Please do you best to let go of the past, and trust in Karma, focus your energies on your future and all the blessings it can bring you. You may not have achieved the outcome you wished for with your grievance but please don't let that hold you down.John0 -
I wish you luck pepper33. Sometimes you don't get justice and sometimes the good guys don't win but that is life.Stercus accidit0

This is so true. I was bullied out of a reasonably well paid job many years ago - I have never been able to find another job that was as 'good' (on paper, anyway) as that one, and if I allowed it to, it would eat me up day and night, as I see my former boss going from promotion to promotion, leaving a trail of destruction behind her (she has had many victims over the years).
However, whilst I no longer earn the salary that I used to, I have regained my confidence, and most importantly I have worked for several different bosses since, who have been positive about my work, and positive about my attitude, which has been a huge relief to me. I don't want to be the person who feels persecuted, I don't want to go through life thinking everyone is out to get me and that all bosses are awful. They aren't.
I suspect the OP is classing me as one of those who 'don't understand' but I truly do. I don't want to see anyone bullied in the workplace (or anywhere else). Just because people on the thread have perhaps disagreed, or been concerned about the OP's approach to the grievance, does not mean that we want to see him/her miserable at work and suffering ill health. I certainly don't. But if you approach every piece of criticism (even the most constructive or well meaning, as you have received here) as an attack on you, you will feel persecuted and that attitude in turn will make it less likely that your original grievance will be taken seriously.
I'd better bow out of this thread now, I don't want to get into a huge debate about the rights and wrongs, whether the grievance is valid or not (since in reality none of us know). To the OP, I hope your return to work is a step in the right direction for you, and that in time you can move on from this.0
