The supermarkets are typically misled by the PPCs.
In addition some/many?? supermarkets do have genuine problems with people using them as free car parks [eg commuters parking all day], and so the PPCs say 'We'll do it for free'.
The supermarkets then tick the box called 'parking problems sorted at minimal cost' and move on.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
thanks very much i just don't understand why supermarkets take these people on to "police" there car park if its a scam??
Because they are paid by the scammers for the right to scam on their land, I mean manage the parking.
OFC what the Supermarket doesnt click on to is that if they do the job properly, the PPC would not have to issue any scam tickets, and therfore woudlnt make any money. By definition, the only way the PPC can make money is by scamming, targeting and victimizing the Supermarkets customers, thus annoying and alienating them.
Its a monument to the stupidity of Supermarket Managers countrywide. Talk about cutting your nose off to spite your face.
I've ignored about half a dozen, but recently ive taken to waiting until threatogram 3 or 4, then sending them an ace text, about three A4 pages long, explaining exactly why they cant take a penny off me.**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. Can you post the text (or PM it to me) in case I need to use it? Thanks.0 -

This is well illustrated from the court transcript on another thread. The particular car park was virtually empty and the "defendant" started to walk off site, passing the PPC attendant in his van. Instead of this attendant telling the motorist that if he left site then he would get a ticket, he let him go on his way and then slapped the ticket on the car.
So you have two scenarios here. The first (and correct) one would have seen the attendant warning the driver, and the second one having the attendant ignoring him so he could try and screw some money from the driver on behalf of the PPC.
So which is the better example of car park management? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Have just recieved one from parking eye, it was free parking for 30 minutes then you had to pay a fee. We did our shopping (it was one of those outlet type places then as there was a Gregs, we'd been elsewhere and out all day, all starving and so we bought sausages rolls etc and sat in the car and ate them. Now I have a parking charge. I didn't think anything of it as we were sat in the car and didn't see any attendents. My OH reckons its my fault but hey ho.
I'm taking it that the message is just ignore everything they send?
Yes, these lets are quite scarey!
Came home from a 12 and half hour shift, short staffedbig style, absolutely knackered and have 3 letters, first need to pay £180 for the kids music for the year, next NMC (nurses governing body) £79 for year, I laughed (har har can't get anyworse) then opened that letter.
Think just need reassurance, which i knows pathetic!Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!

Not at all. These letters are designed to scare. IGNORE IT, file it away in the back of a drawer.
I know the advice sounds too good to be true, but if it wasn't, there would be people back on this forum moaning it had not worked.
IF and WHEN you get court papers, then get back on the board. Until then, look up your PPC on the sticky and play paperwork bingo!

Can I just double check, I did know you needed to pay after 30 minutes but had done my shopping and was sat with family eating afterwards. I thought I wasn't breeching as could have driven off but clearly caught on camera. Am I still ok or do i need to send a payment to cover that period (from the prices displayed)?

You could send them the amount due (as in for 30mins) as full and final settlement. That is all they would have actually lost from you parking there. But from other posts on here, it seems to be inviting them to harrass you more, and in some cases just try and deduct it from their original ficticious charge.
Like its been said before, best to ignore it.
p.s. if it makes you feel any better, how many times have you paid for parking and not used the whole time on the ticket?
