I once had a £150 coat for winter I left it on the parcel shelf of my car one day the weather got warm and it dyed had of it  It's my birthday in december though so I usually have money to put towards my coat or BF buys me it.
I think the taking cash out sounds like a good idea. I may have to give it a go.

So I was quite good today and yesterday in not spending money at lunch time on canteen food or going out food. Mostly because I have to eat soft things! lol. I went Tesco after work today and bought more soups, pots of jelly and a few other things. Spent just under £12 and got some bargains too. I got some reduced cakes - 4 mini chocolate sponge cakes 40p and 6 cadburys strawberry and blueberry mini rolls for 15p! (13th September BBE date).
I also got my expenses reimbursed from the shoot I went on the other day. I've kept them separate from the £50 for this week. I will use it as part of next week's cash. I'm going to the athletics tomorrow at the Paralympic games so will look forward to going to go that, and it also means I save on transport because I've got a travelcard with my ticket.
I've been working so late recently and I've also secured more days work, so I'll have enough money to pay my rent this month lol. That's the only problem with my job, the month my contract ends I have enough to pay one month's rent, but then after that, who knows lol. Which is how I ended up using my overdrafts again!0 -

My mouth doesn't appear to be getting better lol. Well the swelling's gone down at least, but still really hurts. Had to buy some more pain killers from Boots today, cost me over a fiver, but there's loads in there. I haven't got time to get more prescription ones, so got over the counter ones instead.
I didn't include medications as part of my weekly budget, so used the card for that. I have about £2 or £3 left till Saturday lol. That's because I went to the Olympic Park yesterday and got dinner there. £8.50 for fish and chips!!! I really didn't fancy any of the sandwiches there. I have enough food in the house, and I'll be using it all up hopefully in the next couple of weeks. I'm going to take lunch into work tomorrow, and Saturday.
I am absolutely knackered at the moment. Worked 5 days in a row so far and 2 left till my next day off. And they've been long days, with most days starting early or finishing late. I can't wait till Sunday for my day off! Oh well I better put my laundry away and then go sleep. They want me to get in at 8am tomorrow! Doubt it'll happen though lol0 -
So working today. I had to actually go shopping yesterday for new clothes for work. As I'm working in the studio now and we need to wear dark clothes. I don't think band t-shirts will be appropriate lol.
Spent a bit too much EEK! But I did buy that jacket I've been after for a month. But the rest was all work clothes, which are needed.
Better get ready for work now!0 -
So wow, enjoyed the studio day today.
Got to see the host of our show - bleurgh lol, don't really like him that much. But I didn't see our guest, which I was disappointed about. (an ex boyband member) But I did at least get to hear him sing his new song for the first time!
I've saved a bit of money today too, as some food was provided at work. Had to get my own lunch, but dinner and snacks were available, including wine afterwards in the green room. I got back home after midnight, but at least I got a cab back, saves money on tube lol.
Monday I'm back in studio with our guest Sir Roger Moore! Which will be on TV on Friday ITV1 maybe about 8 or 9pm. I should be on the credits lol. Well I better be!0 -
Hey:wave:
Your job sounds exciting. Well done on not buying too much. I used to hate all the money juggling between accounts because i'd spent to much. xxxemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

So today on my day off. I helped go some gardening and found we had a fair few blackberries on the bushes from next door that has also grown into our garden. So got about the amount from a supermarket punnet of blackberries for free!
I'm thinking of trying to grow my own veg. Will have to see what I can grow at this time of year. Maybe potatoes? I also dont want to have to do too much work to them either lol.0 -
So just had 2 very long days at work, fun days though. Although I'll probably turn into an alchoholic if I'm in this job for longer than I am, as everyone says to me 'get a drink' afterwards from the green room lol. So free booze, hard to say no!
It's been good for money spending wise I dont spend any money on anything apart from lunch. Dinner gets provided, I finish at 10pm or later so can't go shopping, and if I leave after 10:30pm they get me a taxi home paid for by the company! So it's really a money saving job, even if I can't have a social life for a week.
Today I'm going to Argos to return my TV to try and get fixed, it's 11 months since I bought it. So still in warranty. I just need a shower first. I can't believe I slept in till 2:30pm lol. That's about 13 hours sleep! Shows you how tired I was yesterday!0 -
So just finished the 5th studio day out of 6. Left house at 8:45 and got back just before midnight! I did spend £4 in the canteen today though. But it was a good meal I needed it. Considering it was my only proper meal of the day! Huh, just realised it was the only meal of my day today!! Apart from a few snacks here and there. Studio saves me a fortune lol.
I finish this job on Sunday! One more day left on this and then bye bye!
I went for an interview for a job, which is higher up than mine, but didn't get it. Didn't have time to prepare for interview. Went for the interview about 16 hours after applying for it! lol. With only a couple hours to prepare for it, mostly when travelling to work and to the interview. But...
I do have another job for approx 6 weeks. Same rate I'm on now, same company, same floor lol. But I'm going to try and get a junior researcher role on the same show when the next batch starts up again in 2 months. Which will mean more money, maybe by £5 or £10 a day extra at the minimum. The extra money will come in handy.
I have about £5 left of my £30 weekly budget, which includes the £11 I had to fork out for a taxi to take my TV back to Argos! The store is about a mile away from my house, but you have to drive more than a mile with these stupid roads/dual carriageways round my way. I should have my TV back in 12 days max, if they've fixed it lol.0
