Glad it's still going ok. Hope your tv gets fixed.
Glad work is keeping you so busy you don't have time to shop :rotfl:

I had my day off today, went to meet up with a friend I hadn't seen in 6 months.
We went Pizza Express, 3 of us spent £15.30 altogether! £5.10 each thanks to vouchers. Also had a couple drinks at my regular pub, then went food shopping. So spent half my weekly budget already! lol
Oh well start my new job tomorrow morning, better go bed!0 -
Started new job, not a brilliant job, really wish I had a week off or had another job! lol. But it's only 6 weeks, and I do have 3 days off from today.

I'm off to visit family tomorrow morning back in my home town, then going to watch british touring car on Sunday. So I'm looking forward to that. Still need to pay my brother for the tickets though!0 -
Huh 3 days since last posting. I have a day a day off work today, as the crew filmed this weekend, but I couldn't as I went home to my hometown to see family and watching British Touring Car. I go to one motor sport event a year, at least. It use to be a lot more when this other motorsport was still going, as I use to get in free as I was working with one of the teams!
Anyway it was nice going back and smelling that petrol, reminds me of the good old days in college and uni. Shame it was freezing though!
I really have to go shopping today to get some waterproofs for tomorrow's filming. Really don't want to spend more money on the credit card, but may have to, or I'll get soaked standing outside all day and I'll probably get ill knowing me!0 -
So I've been feeling a bit down lately, it's this job I think. I've had the last couple days being a bit ill. I also didn't get this Junior Researcher job I applied for, which was basically the next series of the show I worked on previously. Which is really annoying, as I had practically had done half the work last time. They did offer me the same job back, but I said no, because I need to move up the career ladder. Sick of being stuck on the first rung! 2.5 years experience in TV and still at the bottom.
Money may be a bit tight next month with me being off this week. But brightside, pay day tomorrow
Not sure how much I'll get though, hopefully a fair bit lol. I need to spend £60 on Green Day tickets! lol
Also my sister who works in radio is sending over a promo copy of Green Day's new album, so that saves me money, as I would have bought it
I went overbudget this week, as I done a big food shop, as I went with my friend in her car, so stocked up. My budget was £30 and I spent about £40! Oh well, it's not every day you have a car at your disposal.
At least I'm saving money by not being out, but it also means I'm not earning. Will have to budget ferociously this month to save enough for next month!0 -
Pay day today!! Got more than I thought. But there are 5 days I got paid for that I haven't worked due to being ill, so will need to make up those days... that's 5 days off next months pay. But I haven't been paid my holiday pay from previous contract, so hopefully that'll get added on.
I've transferred £20 to my ISA to build up my emergency/South Africa trip for my brother's wedding in 18 months. £50 saved so far! lol. I then done a budget and was about to transfer money about when the online banking stopped working! Will keep some money by for emergency for next month and December because it'll be hard to find work so late into the year.0 -
So went to see Muse last night, free gig at iTunes Festival. I was right at the front

Got my money out for the week £40 for this week. Shouldn't spend all of it, as I'm on location tomorrow and Wednesday so will get my food paid for by work. Thursday I have a gig, so will probably have dinner out.
Right best get to bed, got work in the morning!0 -
So I've had an interesting week. Had to shell out £70 towards a new TV, my other one got refunded as it was broke, so I bought a slightly better brand this time!
But now I wont have a chance to enjoy it as I'm off away for a week with work
The only advantage is I wont be needing to spend any money on travel or food, as it's getting all paid for me!
I also did a couple of extra days work on some of my days off at another company my friend works at, so that pays off the £70 for the TV lol0 -
So it's been a few weeks since I was last on here!
Things have changed, I decided to quit my job a bit early, would have finished this week anyway, but it's because I have an injury because of it, my back is killing me and I find it hard carrying things, like shopping and also turning my neck to the left is sore as well.
I've put my claim in for JSA and Housing Benefit, that's all sorted, just waiting for JSA to be processed.
I have a days work on Saturday, it will involve driving to Leeds from London, which hopefully I'll be able to do with my neck. I'll just need to take some pain killers!
My spending diary has gone out the window, and need to have a restart of my finances. I'm back into my overdraft, not to the limit at least, but halfway.0 -
:wave:Hey,
Glad to see you back. Thought we'd both fallen off the wagon for a moment there.
Sorry to hear abut your job and your back. I hope you find something better soon.
