Well, where do i start!!
We married 6 days after OH's 18th birthday!!
Young, foolish, niave, but most importantly in love.
We told no-one when we married, no big wedding, just us, & 2 witnesses.
It felt like the world was against us ,both sets of parents were horrified:eek::eek:
( My parents disapproved of him, his parents, well, lets just say they thought I was the wicked witch of the west!!)
We've not had an easy time of it by any means (life has been almost unbearable at times ), having coped with more than our fair share of adversity, amongst other things health problems, money worries, children issues, but through it all we've loved & supported each other, & kept each other going. With every problem, though hard to deal with, we have become stronger, and closer.
Next Friday will be our 28th anniversary!!
I am more than aware of how incredibly lucky I am to have the kind of love we share
To mr supergran, my soulmate, my best friend, & the love of my life,
A Very Happy Birthday!!!xxx:A0 -
Brilliant post supergran2007, brought a tear to my eye.The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

Yes, like many folk we've had our difficulties and differences but stuck together like glue. Hardly a day passes without a "Love you" from one or the other other.
Courted for four years and have been married over fifty.0
