I'm feeling really motivated at the prospect of getting my time back. It's a bit like getting an unexpected windfall of money. Doors are opening.

    Yesterday was a productive day:
    • completed my planned housework
    • finalised some diary dates
    • made Leftover Korean Rice Bowl for lunch. Athough I didn't follow the recipe exactly, just added whatever I had that needed using up
    • reduced the ironing pile
    • rustled up a mushroom and creme fraiche pasta sauce for supper, no recipe just free styled to use up more stuff.

Then my little adventure for the day was to go to a new Lindy Hop class that has started up in the village. What fun! And Mr F has said that he'll come with me when he can :D

Keep your fingers crossed for Mr F today - he has an interview for the promotion. We're not sure yet whether he'll take it if offered. Today's a bit of a fact find to help make that decision should we need to.

    Happy Tuesday

  • Brilliant to read about Lindy Hop - I'm trying to persuade Mr T to go to lessons with me as it's just opened up a few miles sway.

    Enjoy your freedom.

I really enjoyed it Tilly. I love dancing and didn't find it hard to pick up the basics. You can progress quite quickly too. There's a whole social scene around Lindy Hop and I'm hoping to go to some dance events too.

I'm sure you'll both love it.

I love dancing - and the lindy really sounds fun. I managed one full-on disco dance in May, at the Scottish wedding (plus a "waltz" with the father of the bride, I couldn't get out of it!) I'm really looking forward to being able to dance again :) Have a brilliant time!

I find there are so few opportunities to dance these days - just weddings really (I'm too old to go clubbing now). A regular Monday night at Lindy will definitely give me my boogie fix.

  • Mr F was offered the promotion :j

It's not a done deal yet though. It's a much bigger job with even more travel so they'll have to make him a very good offer before he'll take it.

I made a Courgette & Goats Cheese Quiche today with courgettes from the garden. Most of the recipes I found involved grating and squeezing the courgettes in a tea towel which seemed a lot of faff so I roasted the courgettes instead and it turned out very well. Used the leftover pastry to make oaty biscuits but Mr F has eaten most of them already .

Today's adventure was at WI where I made a candle :D Our speaker needed a volunteer to demonstrate so I stepped up. As a reward I got to keep the candle I made. It's lime and basil and smells wonderful. There were candles for sale too and at very reasonable prices so I bought a vanilla one (I love essential oil candles but they are usually soooo expensive). The house smells fabulous :)

Hope your Wednesday has been a fragrant one
