I broke my toe tripping on my massively flared corduroys - mine is more embarrassing.
It's amazing the pain you can get from such a small digit! I also made the mistake of having a hot bath straight after rather than icing it. In my defence, I was a teenager.

I broke one of my toes by smashing it on the bedframe while trying to put a pair of trousers on XD 10 years later and it still doesn't bend properly o.O
Feet up, and I think icepacks are supposed to help bring down swelling so you can try that to see if it'll help you get out over the weekend!0 -
Eeek.
Take care

Way to go, the amazing Mr F!
I broke 3 toes when was in my early 20s kicking the bathroom door with my bare foot during an argument with OH:o:o
A couple of years ago I broke 2 of those 3 and added a different 3rd one when a wooden framed speaker fell over and landed sharp-edge (not curved/ smooth) on my foot - ouch! They play up in cold weather and my ability to wear 5" heels has reduced to a much lesser time now

Hi fortune, I've been reading many diaries since last and I am up to page 53/54 on your diary.. it has been wonderful to read... but rather than waiting until I reached the end I have to say how lovely your paintings are.
We live by the sea and are looking out for a large seascape.... but I just had to say I love the paintings of the boats... (not yet seen the insects.. not allowed or something)

Hope the toe is getting better fortune I recently pinged my big toe nail off (combination initially of running but final act was stubbing it on a wooden block whilst getting on a ride at an amusement park with the smalls :rotfl:) and that hurt enough so I feel your pain.
Has mr f decided on the job yet?0 -

Yes, I heard him :rotfl:
Yes he did Frayed. Don't worry, Mr F and I are having rather an indulgent weekend with absolutely no housework involved :rotfl:I broke my toe tripping on my massively flared corduroys - mine is more embarrassing. It's amazing the pain you can get from such a small digit! You win Amy - although I think massively flared corduroys are pretty cool :cool:BritishBibliophile wrote: »I broke one of my toes by smashing it on the bedframe while trying to put a pair of trousers on XD 10 years later and it still doesn't bend properly o.O

Thanks BB. It's not that painful really just keeps swelling up - it's more of a grape at the moment than a toe :rotfl:

You might be right Beanie. I'm going to leave it for a few days and see how it goes. I't can't be a huge break as I can still walk on it. I don't think there's much they can do for it anyway - just tape it to the next toe to try and stabilise it. My little toes aren't that mobile - they are tiny fat baked bean toes that don't move muchWay to go, the amazing Mr F!

That sounds horrid Gt - lucky for OH you didn't kick himI don't think I've ever worn 5" heels. I have tiny feet so I'm sure it makes balance more difficult :rotfl: I'm a kitten heel girl so I hope I won't have any future problems in the shoe area.

Ouch! I knew running was bad for you :rotfl: Mr F is waiting for a package offer so he can make his decision. I hope they hurry up - we both hate waiting to hear on that sort of thing.

Hello Money
very kind of you to drop in and tackle my diary and thank you for being kind about my paintings. I have a FB page here if you want to sneak ahead and have a look https://www.facebook.com/BeeGardenArt/
How lovely to live by the sea. Are you a creative person? It must be very inspiring to have that sort of scenery around you.
Do stick around and, if you have a diary, I will return the compliment.

We went on a foraging course with some friends yesterday. The weather held off and we discovered some new paths in our local area. The guide was fabulous and we learnt some really interesting and useful things about finding free food from the countryside around us. Lunch was at a local pub we haven't really visited in the past. It had a wild food theme and was excellent so we will certainly be going back. Me and my poorly toe managed fine but I dipped out on the second walk through a vineyard. Made sure I was available for the wine tasting that followed though
We'd paid for the event a couple of months ago so there was no impact on the fun budget for this month. However, we all went out for a light supper after at one of the Estate pubs - got to make use of my discount while I still can!
So a wonderful day full of lilies and we have another planned for today. Friends have invited us to join them for a BBQ.
Sooooo lovely to have a weekend free to spend with Mr F. Can't wait until all my weekends are my own again.
Have a great day all
