Hope you feel better fortune great news on Mr F's package. Sad news on moggy, they do so become part of the family (mine currently warming my feet like a giant hot water bottle!), but I think we are their keepers on earth to make decisions for them that they can't, so the kindest thing all round.
I know what you mean about decisions, have you a deadline for deciding?0 -

Hi Purp. Thanks for dropping by. Mr F and I have decided not to get another kitty for the time being. We plan to travel more and, of course, are considering a move and don't think it would be fair on a fur ball. I've always had cats though and feel as though the house has lost its warmth some how.

There's frost on the ground! The birds must be feeling colder as they are making good use of the feeders this morning. It's quite nice to be back to normal weather wise.
I am still a little lurgified although improving. Must get on with things today though.
What a year it has been. Lots of fabulous adventures but lots of challenges too. I've found the challenges very hard and feel I've been giving them too much focus - partly because they are on-going. I'm going to try and give more focus to the positives now.
So on that note:
Health -- the cough and cold are on their way out now and I'll soon be back on my feet. Perhaps getting the bug early means I won't have to cope with anything over the Christmas festivities
Wealth -- we'll soon have a pay rise from Mr F's new job :j
- I've completed most of the Christmas present shopping and to budget so far
Happiness -- I've almost completed Week 5 of my course. Just a couple of writing exercises to finish which I wanted to do when I was feeling a bit sharper as they are peer reviewed
- the ingredients for the Christmas cake and mincemeat arrived with this week's shopping - really looking forward to making those
Right. Time to get on.
Have a great day all

Thank you everyone. It's very strange without her little comforting presence. I gave her the best life and care I could and I think that's all we can do for them.

I had a very productive day yesterday and thought I was definitely on the mend but today I'm really poorly and have sent myself to bed.
Fortunately I have plenty of meals in the freezer so I haven't had to do much cooking and there's a good supply of cold and cough treatments in the cupboard to take the edge off.
Is it wrong that I opened some Christmas chocolates to cheer myself up?
I am trying to see some positives though:
Health -- this bug won't last forever and I do feel a little better this evening
- what a luxury to be able to take yourself off to bed when ill. I wouldn't have been able to do that if I was still working
- I cleaned the bedroom yesterday and changed the sheets so I have a lovely fresh environment to recover in.
Wealth -- it's been an NSD
- the veg box arrived today and it's full of lovely nutritious stuff
- Mr F has a starting date for the new role - 1 December. So we'll have an enhanced pay day before the end of the year.
Happiness -- it was nice to lie in a warm, comfortable bed and watch the grey, rainy day outside
- I met a published author this year and we have struck up a correspondence
- chocolate.
Hope everyone's well
