Hello everyone - can't believe it's over a month since I last posted. I am spending a lot more time off line these days so don't worry if you don't hear from me for a while.
So what have I been up to:
Money Saving
I had three main financial goals:- Big Birthday Holiday - this is paid for but we will still need to find money for clothes and spending
- DS2's Wedding - we've now saved the full contribution we want to make
- Emergency Savings - I sacrificed a little of this to meet the other goals but we're now back up to 92% of the total required.
Money Making- I've been working regularly and earning more each month than I've budgeted for
- I have two current painting commissions which will take me up until Christmas.
Only small steps here as most of the focus has been on our money saving goals. However, once they are sorted I'll be looking at saving for an en-suite in the guest room.
Lillies
Lots to be grateful for here but Mr F has been away a lot for work so our adventures have been curtailed somewhat - helpful on the MS side though. The WI is introducing me to all sorts of new things which I am busy exploring - hence the lack of on-line activity.
I hope everyone is well and happy.

Hello everyone
I'm back! Our plans for a quiet Christmas this year have gone awry and we now seem to have wave after wave of visitors between now and the New Year. I'm taking advantage of a rare day on our own to catch up on diaries and refocus.
Having planned a quiet Christmas I didn't feel the need to have a specific budget. Now things have changed I have no idea where we are money wise. I'm feeling a little out of control so back to posting it is.
Today's efforts:- recorded our spending for the month
- reconciled the bank accounts
- made a huge batch of soup with any sulky veg I could find in the fridge. We had some for lunch today and the rest will go in the freezer to feed our guests over Christmas
- brought home some apples from an outing yesterday so cooked those up with the last of some gifted Bramleys. Those will go in the freezer ready to make a crumble when required
- added some final items to my Christmas food shopping order
- ordered some replacement hair/beauty products using CP vouchers and reward points to bring the cost down.
I hope all's been going well with my forum friends.
