Morning
My mouth is watering at sweet potato and spinach lasagne! I so wish Littley liked lasagne as I'd be cooking that tonight.
Also loving the random acts of kindness addition. Sounds like something we should all try and fit in too.xx

Ay up Fortune! Hope you are well and that the light has been favourable for working on your latest masterpiece
I was having a pootle around the *StoneWaters* bookstore at lunchtime, and spotted a book that *might* be of interest to you - although I think perhaps you enjoy fiction rather than non? Anyway, it was called 'A Sting in the Tail' by Dave Goulson, about trying to reintroduce a native (to Kent) extinct species of bumble bee. Not too sure if you like bees enough to read about them, but I thought of you when I saw the front cover of the book

Fortune - what a lovely category to add to the budget - think I might nick that one for mine if you don't mind!
Last month we sponsored a co-worker raising funds for a bicycle for health-workers charity - It felt so good to support his trek up Kilimanjaro that we thought to make a monthly donation from our wages. Now it will have fabulous title on our monthly spreadsheet!
Hi rt :hello: It's only a small amount but I find it helps me to be pay a little back graciously. When I first retired and was working hard on MS I found I resented requests for sponsorship money or charitable donations. Then I felt guilty to begrudge so little when I had so much in my own life. Having a specific budget means I am now delighted when asked for sponsorship or donations. I also use the money to send surprise gifts to friends who need cheering up and for random acts of kindness.sassychick2014 wrote: »Morning

I love lasagne sassy, it's one of my favourite meals. Do you think Littley could grow to like it?

Hi Greying. Latest is coming along fine - lots of lovely colour in it. The book sounds really interesting. Funnily enough, I'm reading a book called The Bees at the moment. This one is fiction though. Thanks for thinking of me.

Hi LauraJo
only Mr F and myself at home and I'm careful about portion control. Much too easy to cook a meal intended to serve 4 and split it between the 2 of us
Hope all is well with you.

but not for long. He came home on Tuesday and is off again on Sunday
I did a couple of extra sessions at work this week as they were unexpectedly short staffed. Very grateful that I bought the Barber and oilskin hat - I really needed them yesterday. I took a tour out in a huge thunderstorm and the rain was torrential  My wet weather gear kept me warm and dry though. Think I've made a good investment there.
I've made some progress on the current commission.
Money has been spent. I've ordered some new wellies as I've been making do with some old plastic riding boots which are quite uncomfortable. With yesterday in mind, I've ordered a good quality pair and some wellie socks. Used a CP voucher and went through QC.
We went out for supper last night. We usually save our treats for the weekend but with Mr F away so much we're taking them when we can. Went to one of the Estate pubs to take advantage of my staff discount.
Work is proving a very rich source of jam jars - I collected about 20 this week :T Just need to fill them now.
Hope you are all flood free

Having had to be out and about yesterday in the thunderstorm, if you're out in it regularly, then thats a really good investment, absolutely2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Morning hon
After moaning yesterday that it was raining so I couldn't see the meteor shower I feel quite guilty knowing that you've had thunderstorms! I assume the weather has changed because I'm going to sit in a field under canvas next week - it always happens! lol
Glad to hear you're enjoying your tours still & sounds like your Barber was a very sound investment.xx
