for the grass is heavy with water and meets over the bright path he makes...
...straight to my courgette plants  I have discovered his hiding place though. His and his myriad brothers and sisters. They have been hiding under the rim of the pots. All have now been removed to a distant field.
It's been a busy and productive day today:
Money Making:- an extra couple of hours booked in at work.
- the Bullace Gin is made
- I'd ordered some proper preserve making equipment which came today. I've been struggling without for years and, with all those hampers to put together, wasn't prepared to continue without a maslin pan. I'm considering this an investment and the cost is all within this month's home improvement budget
- the remains of the Chorizo & Broad Bean Risotto for lunch
- Prawn Chow Main for supper. I used some of the Plum Sauce I made last year instead of the Ketchup and Oyster Sauce.
- cleaned the porch, stairs and landing and gave everywhere a once over with the hoover
- a little ironing
- my new crockery also turned up today so we now have plenty of plates to eat from.
- a small streusel square has been eaten
- opening the door to an exciting parcel every time the bell rang
- unpacking the treasures and finding homes for them.
Night, night

Delurking to say that plum chutney is lovely and a bit different, we use it instead of mango chutney with curries, naan breads etc. I think I used this recipe last time:

Hilary$ came round today to give me a quote. It seemed quite reasonable but I'm going to pop down to my local fabric shop and see how they compare. Another busy day:
Money Making:- 3 new dates for work put in the diary.
- tried a radish sandwich for lunch today
I have some radishes to use up so was trying to be creative and found a recipe on the internet. The verdict is 'nothing to write home about'. Mr F was out with a client today so wasn't subject to the experiment fortunately :rotfl:
- Roasted Vegetable Lasagne for supper with some new potatoes. I didn't have any peppers or mozzarella so replaced these with courgettes and cheddar. There's enough left over for tomorrow too
- a home manicure.
- the blind fabrics I saw today have given me an idea for paint colour
- cleaned the bathroom
- a little more ironing done.
- one packet of crisps to accompany the less than satisfying radish sandwich
- the heavens opening just as I was about to go out and water the garden
- booked a pedicure for next week at the local spa.

Thanks Beanie. I'm finding the range quite limited - I'd like something bright and a little quirky.

I think I may have got a bit carried away with thoughts of Kondo-ing my wardrobes when I was last in Ikea. I bought some boxes to go on the top shelf of my wardrobe so I could arrange my clothes a bit more effectively. "How clever am I?" thought I. Not that clever it turns out. They don't fit. I must have got the measurements wrong
Money Making:- a few hours at work this morning
- put the boxes and another item on some local FB sales sites. Is that money making or money recovering :rotfl:
- a cupboard lunch
- the remains of the Lasagne is on the cards for supper tonight
- raided Mr F's change to feed the Marmit£ jar. I'm including the 50p pieces now. I wonder if he'll notice
- an NSD (so far).
- despite the box situation, I did have a clear out of my wardrobe and everything is a little tidier in there now
- I may finish the ironing later.
- a slice of home made Banana & Wild Strawberry Loaf may have fallen across my path today. It's hopeless when Mr F is home. He likes an afternoon snack and I don't have the will power to resist if he's eating
- found out today that there's going to be a little incentive if we reach our sales target at work this year. We don't know what it is yet but nice to know there'll be a little extra reward if we meet our goal
- a tidy wardrobe and a full bag to take to the charity shop
- cake... obviously :rotfl:

Mr F and I are watching the news and discussing how the budget will affect us:
- I am working part time at (almost) minimum wage so the 'Living Wage' will benefit me. I don't earn enough to pay any tax at all
- We think Mr F will bring home a little more due to the personal allowance rise and the upper tax limit reduction
- we'll pay more in tax for insurance and on our pensions contributions
I would like to understand the impact of this budget on the country as a whole. How was the budget for you? Will you be worse off or better off? If you don't mind sharing I am genuinely interested and would like to develop a more informed view.
Thank you

Hi FS!
I've no idea how the budget will affect me - I suspect very little, as I'm hovering around paying no tax myself, but I still have to pay NI, so there's probably something there. Sorry! Not much info ...
I do like the sound of your kondo-ing tho, and the question to self about money making or money recovering2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Evening
I'm not really sure if the budget affects me tbh. Lame aren't I!? I don't earn enough atm to pay tax but I believe I will when I do my 2015/16 tax return. I do however get a small amount of WTC & CTC so that may change but I'm not sure as I only have one child! If it does affect me nothing is starting until April 2016 and as I'm earning more this year my WTC would go down anyway. I think! lol
I've been trying to read up on it but as I'm self-employed it's all a bit different for me anyway. Again, I think!
I've just realised I never answered your question about whether I've been doing this kondo stuff. I'm not atm as not really sure what it is but have been thinking about having a look. I'll do that now and see how it goes!xx
