Well done on the weight loss FS :T
The butternut macaroni cheese looks delicious; however, I fear that I would eat 2 portions and gain the weight back that I've lost this week :rotfl:
A recipe to remember for the autumn though when I'm a skinny minny and we have guests!Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

It's not the most slimming recipe I do at 632 calories a portion. However, a portion is quite substantial so I don't think you'd be able to eat 2 :rotfl:
I use a teaspoon of wholegrain mustard instead of mustard powder to give it a bit more bite.

I am taking work in progress pictures though so I promise to post them all on the Bee Garden Art FB page once complete.
Interesting about the mustard, by the way - I'm thinking about ways to use stored spices, oils and vinegars to provice quick flavouring for standard foods.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thats very kind on all counts, thank you

I fancy having a go at Chilli Oil and Lemon Oil Karma. I bought some once and they were brilliant for adding quick flavour to a dish. If a recipe started with frying of onions and garlic I'd do this with the flavoured oils. Can't be that hard to make them.

I've had a good, productive day today:
- went to Step class for the first time since November  Kept things low impact and managed to survive - just
- stayed on after for coffee with the girls - £2
- put £3 in the pot for a birthday present for the instructor
- leftover Butternut Squash Macaroni Cheese for lunch
- a couple of hours painting - the cat has eyes and a nose now
- caught up on the ironing whilst catching up with my favourite TV dramas
- Gnocchi with Courgette, Mascarpone & Spring Onions for supper.
That meant an early get up this morning so I'll be off to Bedfordshire pretty soon - yaaaawn.
Night, night

I'm definitely going to be growing lots of my own basil this year. I want to make pesto with it, eke it out with lemon balm and wild nettles, good king henry, anything thats flavoursome and around here, basically

All's well this end SBO - hope the same is true for you. I've not done any doggies yet but I'll give anything a try. Probably should see how the cat turns out first though :rotfl:

My Landy passed her MOT today :T Phew! I'm never really very worried about MOTs TBH, Mr F does a grand job of looking after the trucks.
More loaves and lilies this week:- went into the market town yesterday and got a few chores done
- met some girly friends for coffee. Friend paid
- had a mooch around the shops and went for lunch with them. Used my new, free 2 month Tastecard (thanks MSE) to get a free meal for the friend who'd paid for the coffees. £15 spent from personal spends
- was so full from lunch I didn't need any supper
- had the last portion of Butternut Squash Macaroni Cheese for lunch
- today's MOT was £45. I had a coffee in the local pub while I waited - £1.95
- Red Lentil & Chorizo Soup for supper
Happy hump day all.

The silver lining of Mr F being away so much is that we save money
There's less food to buy and, at the weekend, he just wants to chill at home. We haven't even spent a quarter of this month's entertainment budget :j
It's been a busy few days:- met up with some friends on Thursday for a catch up. Took some potted hyacinths for the host - £5
- Step class on Friday and an afternoon's painting
- made The River Caf!s Winter Minestrone for lunches this weekend. I used beetroot greens instead of swiss chard and green cabbage instead of cavolo nero as that's what came in the veg box this week. Very healthy :A
- made Mushroom Risotto for suppers
- lots of progress on the cat painting.
Hope your weekend was fab
