I am looking distinctly cuddly at the moment Beanie. Too many lilies probably  Some self-discipline is needed.

  • I have scared myself with the scales this week  Too many lilies of the calorific kind I think. I must stop spoiling Mr F as well:
    • shopping arrived - £5.23 under budget
    • veg box arrived and meals planned accordingly
    • met a friend for lunch today - £10.35
    • bought some treats for Mr F - £38 :o
Friend gave me a belated Christmas present for the Fortunate Cat. It's wrapped in Robin paper and there sounds as though there's a bell in it :rotfl: I'm going to let her open it in a minute.

    The weekend's here folks :j

  • Forgot to mention that the Aston owner popped by to thank me for the painting :D

Now I know he's seen it and is happy, I've started to post the work in progress pictures I took whilst painting it. Here if you're interested in seeing how I got on https://www.facebook.com/BeeGardenArt

  • It finally seems as though some normality is returning to the Fortunate household - well as much as there ever is :rotfl:
    • saved a little on the grocery budget. Mr F is away this week so I've managed to do without a veg box
    • saved a little on the entertainment budget as we had one trip to the cinema this weekend and I used 0d£0n points to get a drink and some popcorn
    • went to Zumba this morning for the first time for ages
    • put the final Aston pictures on FB https://www.facebook.com/BeeGardenArt. Mr F also posted them on his page which resulted in 1 further commission and 3 expressions of interest :T The cat owner has confirmed so I'll start on that one tomorrow
    • did the budgeting for February. There are a few big annual bills to pay so not much leftover for home improvements. I do have my eye on a new kitchen tap though
I hope everyone is weathering the storms ok. We have 8 flood warnings in the South East this evening and I fear for those who suffered so badly last year. I will be keeping everything crossed for them tonight.

Oh, I didn't realise there were flood warnings out - I thought it was going to be the wind that was going to be the problem.

Will certainly be keeping my fingers crossed that everything is ok, it'd be awful for people hit by last years flood to have to face the threat again

The flood warning has gone from my area - but yes, the wind was **howling** last night, it was quite startling sometimes!

Fortune, I will really, really need to see regular updates of your cat portrait :):):) And I hope you're safe from the storms too.
2023: the year I get to buy a car

The floods seem to have come to nothing so far - thank goodness. Mr F is hard at work getting his truck repaired so that he can go and help if need be.

Sorry Karma, the cat portrait is a surprise present for someone so I won't be able to post anything until its completed. Don't want to risk them stumbling across it on the net and they should be the first person to see it really.

I am taking work in progress pictures though so I promise to post them all on the Bee Garden Art FB page once complete.

Thank you unhappy_shopper. I love painting chrome - it's one of my favourite things to do.

  • I am happily settled back into a routine now with my days consisting of painting, housework, cooking and admin. Oh and a few lilies thrown in of course.

I've made a start on the cat portrait. The customer has approved the preliminary sketch and I've put the background in. I wanted a muted, impressionistic background so as not to detract from the cat itself. I think I've managed to achieve this and also suggest the grass the cat is sitting in.
Another customer has commissioned me to paint a Porsche :j next.

I'm pretty much on top of housework and admin. Just need to properly get back to the gym.

Autumn Vegetable Soup for lunch today and Butternut Macaroni Cheese planned for supper.

Oooh and I've lost 5lbs :T Using Nutrach£ck again as I find it works for me.

So all is calm in the Fortunate household. Long may it last.

Hope your weekend is going well.
