All sounds good to me, Fortune - money *and* life, which is lovely2023: the year I get to buy a car0
-
Well I can't say I made any progress towards my 2015 goals on the first day of the year. I was a bit, erm, under the weather. The less said about that the better so let's start with today:
- the veg box arrived with a free calendar
- popped into the market town with Across-the-Lane-Neighbour and daughter as I needed to drop in some dry cleaning for Mr F
- treated them to coffee and cake. Mr Across-the-Lane-Neighbour is out of work at the moment and they are feeling the pinch
- saw the perfect scarf for Mr F. He's been looking for a smart one for work and is still poorly so I thought I'd cheer him up
- visited my elderly neighbours and took some MS gifts - Oak Leaf Lettuce and Pak Choi from the garden and a bottle of Crème de Mures made from last year's blackberries
- picked up my prescription and some new cold and flu supplies for Mr F
- discovered some pre-Christmas cream in the fridge which smells ok so I'll be using that up in some Dauphinoise Potatoes later. I also need to use up some Tarragon Jelly from the fridge so will roast some carrots and salmon with that.
Hope your year is off to a great start

Wow well done on the 10k overpayment!! Thats a fantastic result!! Good luck with your budgeting for the year ahead and with your resolutions! I particularly like the "be kinder" one. I'm glad to see that i am not alone in losing patience with people as you get older! Giggle!

I love your report. Sounds great. I especially like the being kinder part. I've been communicating with those in my space (read something the other day). It's been positive so far.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

And a very Happy New Year to you too Tilly. The veg is more by accident than design but nice to have something growing.
Looking forward to seeing your plans unfold in 2015 - very exciting!

Thanks GMOOD. We worked out it was more MS to cash in an endowment and pay it off the mortgage than keep it going. It's a one off event though so I won't be reaching those heading OP heights this year :rotfl:
I hope I can be kinder I felt like slapping people quite a lot last year
Have got your PM and will reply separately.

Hi Supersaver. I think I am a kind person usually but I can definitely improve. I did well yesterday but I wasn't busy or grumpy - the true test will come when I'm having a bad day.
