Hi Fortune
Just stopped by to say I love your diary, your positivity and your menu planning!
I'm also loving that courgettes are featuring in the meals ... we've had to eat courgettes with everything for the past week! May make some chutney at the weekend if we get many more. Glad your harvest is plentiful too! x
Hi there Habibiboo and thanks for popping in.
I only have one courgette plant and I'm getting 2 a day from it at the moment! So courgettes will be featuring heavily from now on :rotfl:

I've dishes on the planner to make with courgettes, thinking that as it is the season, they could be snapped up reasonably in the supermercados...... ha! If anything, they are dearer than they are in mid-December! Oh how I really am beginning to miss growing my own. Ho Hum
I'm liking the sound of your home-improvement budget items Fortune. I daren't think on things like that yet, we're still at the stage of trying to get the tradespeople into the house to make it worthy of having nice things in each room:D
Greying
Hi there Greying. Don't be too green - courgettes are about the only thing I can grow :rotfl:
It won't be too long before all the structural things in the house are taken care of and you indulge in some accessories. I alternative saving for largish items with small things - feels like I make progress quicker that way.

The heat wave has begun in the Garden of England. I am minimising any moving around so that I can stay cool :rotfl:
- got some housework done yesterday, early - a hot afternoon is not the time to get the hoover out :rotfl:
- listed a few things on Fleabay
- reconciled the bank accounts - all balance
- did a little filing. I'm afraid to say I've let a little mountain of filing grow over past weeks
and it's not a task I enjoy. I've given myself a goal of filing 3 items a day until it's gone
- accepted an impromptu invite to join Across-the-Lane-Neighbour and friends for supper and drinks after school. Made Minted Courgette Salad to take made with courgettes and mint from the garden. Also a bottle of the Waitr0$£ white from the wine rack. They got the Sloe Gin out and I got a little squiffy but luckily Mr F was away last night - ssssh, don't tell
- apparently, whilst I was under the influence, I agreed to be Treasurer for a local PTFA (Across-the-Lane-Neighbour is Chair) - Doh! At least it doesn't involve taking minutes.
- joined some friends for the traditional end of term breakfast at the local greasy spoon this morning - £4.10
- went into the Market Town with Across-the-Lane-Neighbour to get a couple of chores done
Mr F is going straight from work to see Monty Python Live tonight. I declined to join him - am I the only person in the world who doesn't think Monty Python is funny
Enjoy the sunshine all (and the storms if you have them).

I'm with GG, some very funny bits - I loved the films but never really 'got' the TV show.
Have a good weekend Fortune, thank goodness you only agreed to be Treasurer. - it could have been anything :rotfl::rotfl:
Completely agree about vacuuming in the afternoons - way too hot for that sort of malarkey.
