Fortune - I'm glad to be able to report that our swallows/swifts are now back up to more 'usual' numbers, but golly it's been slow/late this year. But oh, how I've missed being 'wowed' by their aerial displays
And yes, I love the cheeping/chirping as they pass by - especially when the little ones eventually are with them, it's just like 'Flight School' is going on around you - surprised Pixar haven't done an animation about it
Super about the local charities getting assistance from the WI - small charities are finding it tough, so bravo!
Have a great day.

Making charitable donations from the sale of your paintings is also a great way to support them. I don't think that would have entered my head
Best wishes Tilly x x
Thanks Tilly - Mr F was very pleased.
It will feel really good to share some of my good fortune if I make a sale.

Greying
That's good to hear Greying. I do worry about Swallows. Mr F and I didn't think we'd get any this year.

I have been so lazy today
and have nothing much to report:
- some Tillytidies
- budget checking
- the leftover Lemon, Chard & Tuna Pasta for lunch. Being lazy, I didn't even try it with capers :rotfl:
- did some tinkering with my Folk$y shop
- called $outh £a$t 4x4 Re$pon$£ to let them know the good news. They were very pleased
- a tiddly bit of admin work - which is rubbish as I've quite a lot to do
- and now I can't be bothered to cook any supper. It's a good job Mr F is away tonight :rotfl:
I bought some Sweet Woodruff into the house yesterday. I'd read that it was used in the past to stuff mattresses and as a strewing herb. Also in Pot Pourri. As it wilts the fragrance becomes stronger - somewhere between fresh hay and vanilla. A little goes a long way though and I think I may have overdone it! It's supposed to have a calming effect - CALMING! I've been virtually horizontal all day :rotfl:
Hope you've had a more productive time

A much more productive day today:
- added some categories to my Folksy shop. I think it's looking quite nice now. I've added a banner - a photograph of the flowers in my wedding bouquet. I had roses and the florist came to the house in the morning and collected wildflowers and herbs from my garden to add to it. In the picture you can see a few of these Honeysuckle (bonds of love), Feverfew (Good Heath) Valerian (an accommodating disposition) and Lady's Mantle (comfort of protection). There were lots more all chosen for their meaning
- went into town as the printers wanted to talk to me about paper types and some specifics on the butterfly print. I'm really impressed with their work. They showed me some paintings they had in the shop and said that my work is the equal of them
It did wonders for my confidence and I came away feeling really buoyant
- popped into M&S to pick up some extra supplies. We have been invited to a social event at the weekend and will need to take a contribution to the food. £18.99 which I'll take from the fun money for this week
- got home to find Mr F was there
He had gone out to dinner with some colleagues last night and he and one other got food poisoning! So he'd had to come home early. I've given him some chicken soup and tlc and he seems to be improving now
- made a start on the sketch of the Land Rover but ran out of light before I could finish. It's strange because I'm not into cars at all but I really enjoy painting them
I looked out of the window this morning to see that the brown mare who lives in the field at the end of our garden has had her foal - a little black and white painted pony. It's already trying to gallop around - so cute

What a beautiful way to pick flowers for your wedding bouquet.. I didn't know flowers had these sorts of meanings, you've taught me something new again!

Thank you Shala_moo. I love growing herbs and wildflowers so it just seemed the thing to do. And very appropriate now for a shop called Bee Garden Art!
