Don't get blown off the hill!! We are in in a low laying bit but lots of fields that seem to have taken most of the brunt of the floods (just a bit of damage in the lounge)
Your hubby is a good man helping out. I hate the weather but love the way people pull together!
And yeah that totally makes you a WAG!! :D

Well done on the weight loss, FS! I need to watch my food intake this month - I put on 3.5lbs over Xmas.... eeek!:o

Sure you'll lose that in no time greent. I put on 6lbs and had 6lbs to lose before Christmas  I'm determined it will go though.

  • We did 'Swishing' at WI this evening. Everyone takes in items they don't want - unwanted gifts, unworn clothes, etc and then you can buy the same number of things you took in. It's to raise money for charity. I took in 3 things, 2 of which sold and bought 1 - a cookery book. Bit disappointed though. I'd saved 300 calories from today's recommended amount so that I could have cake. But... the members who were charged with doing cake for this meeting didn't turn up! Curses

    So, MS:
    • did the weekly grocery shop. Lovely Waitr0$£ sent me a £25 voucher for shopping with them 4 times before Christmas :T So I should come in about £50 under budget. I also get a free bottle of champagne with this order :j
    • ordered heating oil. I'd hoped to wait until the end of February to order but my neighbours are ordering now. We are all signed up to our local Oil Club so the more of us order, the cheaper the oil. I don't want to raid the savings for it if possible though so some budget juggling will be required
    • retainer cleaner arrived - should last me the year
    • shower parts arrived - a job for Mr F at the weekend
    • £2 for refreshments at WI and £2 for the cookery book
    • Butternut & Sage Soup for supper tonight. Mr F is home but went straight to a 4x4 Response meeting and ate there.
Still doing well on the diet but am feeling very hungry tonight - don't know if it's because I didn't eat all my calories or if it's the thought of the absent cake :rotfl:

Hope your week has started well

I'm not surprised mum has regained her appetite - my mouth would be watering constantly with all the gourmet delights on offer in the Tilly house :D

  • Rushed off to get to Zumba class this morning only to find they have changed the time and I'd missed it! It's starting an hour earlier this year and nobody told me  Spent the morning drinking coffee and gossiping with Across-the-lane-neighbour instead :o
    • finally got to do some painting. I'm still working on the portrait of DS2 and his girlfriend. She has a big birthday in March and I'm hoping the painting will turn out well enough to have it framed and give it to her as a gift
    • Waitr0$£ delivered. £45.29 under budget (which will go towards the oil bill) and a free bottle of champagne with a thank you card :) How lovely is that. Also got a huge bag of free parsnips - no idea why :rotfl:I'm not that keen on parsnips but Mr F loves them so I can feel a root vegetable lasagne coming on
    • work on the pit continues
    • the sun came out (briefly) and exposed some more dust prompting a little housework
    • Risotto with Bacon & Peas from the meal plan for supper tonight http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1221/easy-risotto-with-bacon-and-peas
Can't believe it's hump day already. Hope you've had a good one.
