  • Art class yesterday afternoon so I spent most of the day drawing and painting. It was the last class of the course :( but the next one starts on 15 January :) I'm planning to join. The classes make me tackle new subjects and techniques and push me out of my comfort zone. I've improved a lot and think they are well worth the money.
    • finished the preliminary sketch
    • an 85p Tilly tidy
    • relieved Mr F's change dish of some pennies for Mr Marmite. Not sure how much though, Mr F was loitering so I didn't have time to count it. It's hidden in my jewellery box :rotfl:
    • a little housework
    • 2 more of my Stocking Filler Bags sold on Fleabay
    • a £10 H0us£ of Fra$£r voucher arrived from CP. That's £30 I have in vouchers now. I'm thinking of saving them to spend in the sales
    • sent Mr F up into the attic to get the Christmas Tree down
    • Austrian Hash from the meal plan for supper tonight. Not great - I don't think I'll be cooking it again.
I'm having my hair cut and coloured this afternoon and it so needs it. I can post the Fleabay items and pick up Mr F's dry cleaning whilst I'm out.

Right, time to put the tree up.

    Have a great day all

  • The tree is up! Mr F said to leave it this year as we are away for Christmas but we've done that before and I couldn't get into the Christmas spirit without it. Besides, every year I buy one special Christmas tree decoration that signifies something that has happened during the year. You may remember last year it was a glass Land Rover to celebrate the building of the garage. So every time I dress the tree the decorations remind me of happy times. For example, I have a silver bell for the year we got married and a little bird house for the year we moved in to the Fortunate Cottage. This year's decoration is going to be an artist's palette. A lovely lady at https://beta.folksy.com/shops/EmuArt is making it for me.

    MS:
    • Mr F's change added up to 17p
    • a Tillytidy of 9p
    • Waitr0$£ delivered - free Sharon fruit, rocket and crumpets due to short shelf lives. £107.63 under budget
    • popped into the market town to post the Fleabay items. I've made about £16
    • bought batteries, light bulbs and a few other bits in the C0-0p. Everything in the house has decided to stop working over Christmas apparently. Used a voucher to get £2.80 off
    • tried to pick up Mr F's dry cleaning but they have double-creased his trousers  So they are having to do them again
    • had my hair done (still on the reduced rate)
    • Squash & Chorizo Stew with Garlic Bread from the meal plan for supper http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/4824/squash-and-chorizo-stew. The parsley was from the garden - it's still going strong!
We are off to Gloucestershire tomorrow for Mr F's second Company Christmas Party. The directors have told him to put any drinks on expenses so we only have to worry about the hotel bill :T I'll be wearing my new dress :D

    Have a good weekend everyone

It was great Shala, thank you. I wish I had some decorations from my mum's tree. They got lost over time but I'm hoping to find some similar ones on Fleabay.

  • We had a lovely time at the Christmas party and I felt fabulous in my new dress :D
    • £8.00 spent on lunch at the Hotel when we arrived
    • a lovely meal and drinks on the company :)
    • £70 for the hotel room including 2 very large, fat boy breakfasts this morning :rotfl:
    • didn't stop on the way back so had lunch when we got home
No hangover ;) Mr F doesn't get them (even when he deserves them) and I was quite careful as I didn't want to face the drive home feeling poorly. Plus we have a birthday party to go to tonight  We'll be taking a bottle of wine from the rack plus a bottle of sparkling Strawberry and Blackberry Cider we bought from the vineyard last weekend as the present.

I have to say I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight and have a very, very, long lie in.

    Hope you're enjoying your weekend

  • What a very, long lie in we had this morning. Mr F didn't get up until 10.00 am  The rest of the day has been quite relaxed too:
    • 30p liberated from Mr F's change dish
    • spent my CP vouchers on replacing some makeup which has just run out. Hopefully it will get here before Christmas
    • a little more work on the portrait
    • made Peppermint Creams drizzled with dark chocolate and sprinkled with pink sugar crystals. So that's the remaining Christmas Cake icing used up
Mr F is out at a 4x4 Christmas dinner this evening so I am planning an evening in front of the fire and the television wrapping up the Christmas presents. May even break out the Bail£y$ ;)

By the way, Mr F has been called back for a 2nd interview :T So he got the boost I was hoping for - if he gets the job it'll be a bonus.

    Have a good Sunday everyone
