I'm trying to be frugal!
When I get bored of being frugal I will buy some more L'occitane Shea Ultra rich moisturising cream and Shea fabulous serum - they're fab products!
BTW - I got bored of being frugal and ordered a rather nice selection of Shea Butter lovely stuff from L'Occitane...:T0 -
Ooops - had one too many Pinots at Across-the-lane-neighbours last night. Much fun was had though. I rustled up some Paprika & Cheddar Gougere to take over along with a bottle of Cava. Lovely evening but consumed too much alcohol, too many snacks and didn't get home 'til midnight
In my fragile state I have managed to:
- do some more work on the portrait
- feed 30p to Mr Marmite
- Tilltidy 32p
- do the monthly money shuffle - Mr F got paid early
- reconcile the bank accounts
- do a little housework
Only 11 presents left to wrap so may do some of that later.
Happy Friday all

We went to a Rotary Club Christmas party last night with friends. I'd paid for the tickets a few weeks ago and didn't realise that all the drinks were included. We had a glass of champagne (or three) on arrival and a 3 course meal with wine for £35 per head which I thought was very good. Our share of the taxi was £24 but it still worked out at less than I'd budgeted for :T We stayed at our friends and they cooked us a lovely breakfast this morning.
I'm not hungover this time but we are both feeling very tired as we never sleep particularly well when we stay with these friends. We live in a pin drop quiet rural location and they live between an A road and the high speed train line. Even ear plugs didn't help.
So, a quiet day of chores has been had and an evening of final present wrapping lies ahead. Supper will be this week's Chilli in tortillas closely followed by an early night
Hope you've had a good day

Mr F and I opened our Christmas presents this morning  We are travelling north tomorrow and, as we'll already have a full car, didn't want to take our presents with us. Tomorrow morning will be a bit of a rush so we had Christmas morning today. I have obviously been very good this year because I got several things from my list including a Hedgehog House - so I'll have somewhere to put any tiny hedgehogs that wander into the garden in future
We'd planned to just do last minute preparations today and start packing for tomorrow. However, across-the-lane-neighbour's car has started gushing oil so Mr F is in the garage with the AA man trying to sort it out. We couldn't leave the AA man out in the lane in this weather :rotfl:
I have:- finished wrapping the presents
- decanted the last of the Christmas vodka
- painted tags for the vodka and 2 for Sloe Gin that I promised to do for neighbour-across-the lane
- packed up all the presents and drinks we need to take with us
- got Mr F to fix the front door and pantry door which were both sticking
- after lunch I shall start packing
I doubt whether I'll be able to post whilst we're away so just want to wish you all a very, merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year! Best wishes in all your endeavours - you deserve some jolly good luck.
