I managed to get to art class today - didn't want to miss any more as I've already missed 2 through illness and they work out at about £10 a go  People had asked for more time to work on their animals from last week so my Highland Cow sketch didn't go to waste after all. He's not quite finished so I'll let you see him when he's done.
A Highland McMoo!!! So excited, they're my fave. Glad you're feeling better x0 -
Glad to see you're feeling better Fortune x

A friend and I went to the Wealden Times Mid-Winter Fair yesterday for a few hours. It was lovely to be out and about. Spent a bit but all planned
- £8.00 entrance fee
- £4.50 for Chickpea & Vegetable Soup with Bread. Friend brought the coffee as I drove. There were carollers in the dining area and it all felt very festive
- I bought some stocking fillings for the DS's and their girlfriends - candles, lavender sachets and cheese bombs. All were about £5 each but special as they are all hand made by local crafts people and beautifully packaged
- friend had bought some chocolate so we came home and ate it with a mug of hot chocolate - nom, nom
- Mr F was away again so I had the last of the meatballs for my supper
- a little more work on my Highland Cow
- Waitr0$£ delivered - £18.24 under budget and 2 free packets of salmon flakes :T
- a little housework
- a light meal of 8p for Mr Marmite
- 22p Tillytidied
- Mr F is back home tonight so Smoked Haddock Gratin with New Potatoes and Mixed Veg for supper from the meal plan http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2155651/smoked-haddock-gratin- It was delicious
- found an open bottle of white in the fridge so indulged in a small glass
Hope everyone is well and ready to enjoy the weekend.

So glad to hear you're doing better - it makes all the difference in the world, doesn't it, though you're not at full strength yet, of course. Good idea to leave this weekend open to build your strength up again.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

After a fabulous weekend I have now torn an intercostal muscle through coughing
Not badly, but enough to keep me away from the gym for another week
.
The seasonal social events are starting to kick off so there won't be much MS to report. However, I'll continue to post so that I don't get too carried away with the lilies.
So:- met up with some friends for lunch in London on Saturday. £3.50 parking, £14.50 training, £18.50 food. We had booked through Top Table so got 50% off the food. I'd made an extra portion of supper on Friday night so Mr F had that for his lunch while I was out and we only needed something light in the evening
- Mr F found a tiny hedgehog in the garden. He looked very wobbly so we brought him in overnight and gave him some cat food. The local rescue centre advised that he was heavy enough for this time of year (453 grams) so we got neighbour-across-the-lanes girls to come and release him back into the big wild back garden last night
- Went to the http://www.finchcocks.co.uk/ Christmas Fair on Sunday. Bought a couple of Christmas presents plus some lovely snack dishes from this lady http://www.artontheshelf.co.uk/www.artontheshelf.co.uk/Bespoke_designs.html who upcycles white crockery. Not a necessity but we both loved the designs and it's rare that our tastes coincide! We had lunch in the restaurant which was absolutely delicious. Total cost: £10 entry for the 2 of us, £21 for lunch and coffee, £1.80 for Christmas presents, £79 for 4 snack dishes. So a lot of money on crockery but I think it's worth it as each item is hand-crafted and unique plus I'm keen to support local artists and businesses
- Cheese and biscuits with a nice bottle of red from the rack for supper.
- I've started buying a few DVDs we want to watch so we can have a relatively inexpensive night in to counter all the expensive events coming up. Life of Pi last night - what a beautiful film
First Christmas party on Friday. Hope I can get into a dress by then

Just back from the dentist - 2nd filling replaced, only 2 more to go  Dentist didn't think I'd need an injection as the original filling was very old. She was right but it did hurt a bit. Hurt even more when I got the bill £149.50 :eek: MS:
- no Step yesterday due to torn muscle
- ordered new sheets. Thought it was time as we'd worn the old ones into holes!
- ordered some Christmas ribbon. I've some bags left over from last year so am intending to make up stocking filler presents with the branded trial size beauty products I've collected over the year. They did well on Ebay last year as Teacher Gifts
- chased M0lt0n Br0wn up for a missing trial size product in a Christmas present order
- some housework and ironing completed
- man came to service the boiler. Expansion tank had failed so had to be replaced. Bill will be £200ish instead of the £100ish I'd expected
The diverter valve may need replacing too which will be a further £250ish
at some stage
- Salmon & Lemon Rice Pastry Parcel for supper from the meal plan last night http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2410639/salmon-and-lemon-rice-pastry-parcel Plenty left for lunches today
Hope you're all having a good week

I'm going to try on the intended Cocktail dress for Friday's party today. Not holding out much hope as being poorly has meant I haven't been to the gym for weeks. Wish me luck.
MS:- guys came to empty and service the septic tank yesterday afternoon. £163 which I'd budgeted for but brushes will need replacing in 6 months time. That'll probably be about £40
- a little housework
- caught up on an issue that's arisen for the new community group
- leftover Salmon & Lemon Rice Pastry Parcel for supper
- no Zumba this morning as intercostal still painful
- Mr F is home tonight so will make Dutchbean Stampot from the meal plan for supper.
Right, shopping won't do itself now will it.
Happy hump day

But only just. Hoping that a couple of days healthy eating will take the pressure off enough. Other MS:
- did the weekly online shop - should be about £5 under budget. And that's with including the ingredients for some Christmas Pudding Vodka. I thought it would make a good gift to take along when we are invited to people's houses over Christmas. Also included a cake board as I'm intending to marzipan my WI Christmas Cake this weekend
- got to art class (although driving was a bit ouch). Had fun experimenting with reflections
- Mr F is home :j and... he has the day off tomorrow :j
- Dutchbean Stampot with mixed vegetables for supper as planned. Enough left over for tomorrow as well :T
