  • Cold has turned to asthma :( so a very unproductive day yesterday. Just sat around inhaling eucalyptus and popping parac£tam0l. Some improvement today but am having another down day to really see it off.

We have a busy weekend ahead so I'm hoping I can calm things down by this evening.

Hope all goes well with you guys

  • I am up and dressed and ready for the day. Asthma still around but subsiding so fingers crossed. We didn't go to the local bonfire last night as planned - I was still poorly and Mr F very tired after his long week. Today, however, I am determined not to let life pass me by.

I'm waiting for across-the-lane neighbour to get back from running some errands and we are going off to see a local art exhibition. I suspect lunch out might be on the intinerary too :) Tonight it is the annual local school quiz and we are part of a team with some neighbours. It is traditional to take drinks and nibbles so I am planning Parmesan, Poppy Seed and Caraway Cheese Straws plus Chocolate, Hazelnut and Cream Mini Meringues.

Tomorrow Mr F will be marching in the village Remembrance Parade - insert proud smiley here (maybe Gally can find one).

Shame it's such a wet day - I hope you're all warm and dry.

All eminently suitable Gally - knew you'd come up trumps x
  • The art exhibition was really interesting and I picked up lots of tips. Paintings were going for £300-400 though  Across-the-lane-neighbour bought me some home made chocolate cake and a coffee as I drove.

Much fun was had at the Quiz Night. We came 2nd which was a great result considering how much wine was consumed by my team mates :naughty:

Mr F marched in the Village Remembrance Parade this morning. It was freezing! The weather has taken a sudden turn and I was pleased I'd put the heating onto auto yesterday. We popped into the pub after with the British Legion who stood us a coffee. We both signed up for local membership. Mr F has been a member of the Motorcycle Branch for years but our little village branch has lost quite a few members in recent years so we want to give them some support. £28 for both of us for the year.

Home now and cosied up in the front of the log burner waiting for lunch to cook. Sausage & Bean Casserole from the freezer with Pesto Mash. I'm planning to make Toffee Apple Pudding to go with supper later as I've a fridge full of Bramleys that need using.

Hope you are enjoying your Sunday.

Art exhibition sounds fun. Yesterday I was cooking for a party all day. Turned out cheap with half price fireworks. More fireworks from neighbours and jugs of Pimms and lemonade to drink.

Art exhibition, and supporting the local British Legion sound good, and the dinner sounds *divine*.

FS, don't you think that you'll be up there at £300-£400 a pic soon? I bet you will, if you focus on it.
