We've had a few meetings where I've been thankful the lights have been dimmed and I've been at the back, as I've almost dozed off during them!:o:o We've had a couple of cookery demos that I've enjoyed, a Tai Chi (sp?) class, a local cheesemaker, a guy who made enamel jewellery, a bee keeper/ honey producer - these were all fun/ interesting. The one which had me in stitches and literally lol-ing was a woman talking about allotments. I was't especially looking forward to it (we were I a run of dry speakers) but she was probably maybe 5 years younger than me and her delivery was fantastic - true comic timing and had great facial expressions to go with it. She told us of how she got into allotments, met her husband through allotments and now runs allotments for the local council - she had plenty of funny allotment related stories. We're having her back for another talk (not on allotments this time!) because she was truly so funny!
Floristry type talks bore me, I have to say (sorry!) - as did the making foil figures and paper cutting talks....:o

I appear to have forgotten to write in my diary for aaaaaaaaaages
So a quick catch up on the main events:- Mr F is being headhunted :T It's a job he's been interested in for a while and would mean quite a big salary increase. Early stages though so we're not getting our hopes up yet
- painting has mainly been for art class and experimenting with different styles. Nothing of a good enough standard to put in the shop. I've invested in some photograph paper for printing out my reference material and it's soooo much better. My next project is to try and produce my own Christmas cards
- I have bought the ingredients for my WI Christmas cake and am hoping to bake it before the week is out
- MS is plodding on - Tillytidies, the feeding of Mr Marmite, admin work and a regular OP. We're still waiting to hear from Nat10nw1d£ on the PPI claim - they have 8 weeks to contact us or appeal
- social stuff is picking up as it always does this time of year. Lovely but expensive. We are reaping the rewards of earlier favours though. We're being taken out for Sunday lunch this weekend in return for some work Mr F did on a neighbours car in the summer :T
