Hi Fortune, picture has arrived and it's truly beautiful. You definitely are a professional artist IMO.
I'm in the same boat as Cal, I didn't set up an account, so can't leave feedback
Mr T is arranging to frame it and that's my first birthday gift from the family - I live in hope they may have others :rotfl:

I'm delighted you like it Tilly - particularly because it's for your birthday. Would you be able to post a picture once it's framed - I'd love to see how it looks.
Thank you

Hi Fortune, I need to learn how to post pics - I'm sure someone posted on my diary so will have a look and yes, once framed I'll upload a pic.
It really is beautiful.

The last 2 weeks have seemed very busy although I always feel a little awkward about saying that. I only have to take care of myself, Mr F and the Fortunate Cat and am a stay-at-home wife now so, theoretically, I should have all the time in the world
Anyhoo, things seem calmer now.
We have had a lovely weekend:- DS2 and girlfriend arrived late on Friday. No supper to provide as they had eaten before they left. Mr F and I had the remains of Thursday's Chorizo Pasta Bake
- Saturday was spent at a local village food festival. Lots of lovely Kentish produce to tempt us. We bought Bramley & Lemon Curd, Onion Marmalade and Thyme & Tarragon Jelly (I know I could have made these myself but we like to support local independent businesses). Also bought some Wild Boar & Apple Sausages. Lunch was a Crab & Lemon Mayonnaise Roll for me and Hog Roast for the others. We browsed around the shops but my only other purchase was some furniture ring remover. Mr F spent some money at the bar on local beers but that was from his personal spends. I'd taken out £50 and still have £15 in my purse so within the entertainment budget for the week
- we went out to a local pub for a lovely dinner in the evening. We paid but I don't know the damage yet because Mr F sorted the bill out on the night. We had put aside some extra entertainment money to cover it though
- today we had a lazy morning watching a film then I made Beer-braised Sausages with Onion & Mustard with Garlic Potato Mash and Peas for lunch http://www.waitrose.com/content/waitrose/en/home/recipes/recipe_directory/b/beer-braised_sausageswithlotsofonionsandmustard.html. It is a tradition when the boys visit that we have sausage and mash, either at the local pub or for dinner at home. For a Sunday lunch I always jazz it up a bit and we used the Wild Boar Sausages we bought at the food festival. There's enough left over for supper tomorrow too
DS2's Girlfriend made Chocolate Pear Pudding with Bail£y$ for afters http://www.waitrose.com/content/waitrose/en/home/recipes/recipe_directory/c/chocolate_pear_pudding_with_baileys_irish_cream.html. The pears were a gift from my DC who is working on an orchard at the moment.
I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend and I look forward to hearing all about it.

Well as normal at it gets in the Fortunate household :rotfl:
Today's efforts:- Step class this morning and boy do I need it
- discovered Mr F had eaten all the lunch box snacks (again) so baking ensued - Almond Biscuits http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/28807/easy-almond-biscuits.aspx plus Cheese & Chutney Scones http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2536662/cheese-and-chutney-scones. But not for me as I have been eating virtuously all day :A
- did a preliminary sketch of some beach huts to take to art class on Wednesday. We have to take in something colourful to work on
- a little admin work
- 35p discovered at the bottom of my purse and fed to Mr Marmite
- leftover sausage and mash for supper tonight.
I'm going to take the opportunity to catch up on the weekend's TV and get an early night.
Hope you've had a good Monday
