Of course I don't mind - it's nice to have the company.

I went to my first WI meeting last night. I've been wanting to join since I stopped full time work but there hasn't been a group near me up until now. It was brilliant. 50 women in a synchronised Christmas cake mixing extravaganza! I didn't take any ingredients as Mr F and I aren't sure what we are doing for Christmas but the December meeting is on icing your cake so I will give one a go at the weekend. I've never made a Christmas cake before and was surprised how easy it looked. Wish me luck!
MS wise:- did the weekly online shop - should come in at about half the budget as Mr F is away next week for work
- used a £1 off bakery items voucher
- reconciled the bank accounts - no surprises
- did a preparatory sketch for a horse painting (trying to expand my repertoire)
- a little admin work
- £2 subs at the WI meeting for refreshments - coffee and cake (delicious home-baked Victoria Sponge with butter cream and jam)
- £1 for a raffle ticket - didn't win though :rotfl:
- need to pay the £34 annual membership fee but that will cover me until January 2015
Happy hump day

I do hope so SBO - call me a cynic but I just don't trust them to do the right thing. The letter they sent rejecting our original complaint to them was a load of proverbial.

Thanks Beanie - it would be great to have some extra cash to cover the cost of the alarm.

Plans are in hand to stir up my Christmas Cake mix at the weekend. Purchases have been required though:
- one 18cm cake tin ordered from Lakeland. Also invested in a cake carrier whilst I was there as I'm sure the WI meetings are going to call for one. £30.98 spent
Free delivery though - which of course cancels out the entire spend :rotfl:
- Zumba this morning - lots of new tracks so I'm aching a bit now
- art class this afternoon. We focussed on colour theory and I started the Beach Hut painting
- Baked Coley with Courgette and Spinach from the meal plan for supper tonight http://www.waitrose.com/content/waitrose/en/home/recipes/recipe_directory/b/baked_coley_with_courgette_and_spinach.html only it was cod as we had some in the freezer. I included a 2nd - yes 2nd! - round courgette from the raised bed :T
- Waitr0$£ delivered - saved just over half the budget this week.
I was a bit premature with my 'Happy Hump Day' yesterday - wishful thinking :rotfl:Hope you've had one today.

It's a bit complicated but basically it's something you sign up for and they burn your money for you so you don't have to do it yourself. In my experience.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
