Am I the only one not effected by the down time?0
-
I wasn't affected, first I knew of an issue is the news on Capital.
My phone was working the night before as well, so my downtime was literally 3-4 hours.
can anyone remember how long vodafone was down for when they had kit nicked last year??See Beyond the Light, Find your Darker Side0 -

Vodafone got the network up and running the same day. If I remember correctly, O2 had a burglary a couple of days later and had specialist telecommuniucation equipment stolen but took longer to get the service restored.0 -
Do you honestly believe any company which ties people in to 24 month contracts to recover the cost of providing the "free" phone would have a clause in the contract to allow people to leave if they are without service for a day? :rotfl::rotfl:11 Ending this agreement
a Either you or we may end this agreement by giving the other 30 days’ notice in writing. Your notice must include your mobile number and your signature or appropriate security details. You must pay the charges during the notice period.
b You may end this agreement by writing to us if:
• we don’t do something fundamental that we should have done under this agreement (for example, if there is a complete failure of the network for seven days in a row due to something we have done), within seven days of you asking us in writing;

Complete failure of the entire network for 7 days is less likely that winning the Euromillions tonight0

Complete failure of the entire network for 7 days is less likely that winning the Euromillions tonight
"Complete failure" implies that not a single Vodafone base station may be working in the entire country before they will release you. The upshot therefore is that if a thermonuclear war obliterates Vodafone's entire telecommunications infrastructure (along with most of the population of the United Kingdom), plunging the world into a nuclear winter and associated dark age from which civilization may never recover as everyone scrabbles around in a wasteland looking for the carcasses of radiation-poisoned livestock to eat for sustenance, Vodafone may release you from their contract.
They deserve no better. Vodafone are tw*nts. O2 on the other hand have consistently been a pleasure to deal with - actually one of my favourite companies, service-wise. It amazes me that a company that was originally spun off from a bunch of sh*twastes like BT could be as good as they are.urs sinserly,

I have an interesting proposal for all o2 customers and o2 as a network.
Instead of offering customer compensation, how about o2 donate the money to charity?
Heres my thinking
My average phone bill and most others average is £40 a month.
Divide you average by 30 days. Mine is 1.3333. So I have lost out on approx £2 for a day and half of no mobile phone. Now what am I going to do with that £2?
o2 has approx 8 million users. That could be £16 million that could go to Charity by all of us simply missing out on £2 of a phone bill we would usually pay.
If you like this idea, why not goto the o2 twitter page and send a link to this blog post to them to get the message across to everyone.

Now I am not only doing this as a selfless act…. If o2 does not do this and you want to donate your £2 compo, then please help out with Seaside Hospital Radio. We are in need of funds as we face an uncertain future in our current location and need to move so we can continue to broadcast to the patients of Worthing and Southlands Hospital.
