Good day today. Got told i'd won assistant of the quaters and my boss offered me 2 charity shield tickets I'm not really a football fan but enjoy watching a match in a stadium. Said yes as Bf would really like to go. We have to try get rid of our shifts that day shouldn't be to hard as my boss will sort it out as he's the one with the tickets. BF got paid today and hasn't really had a holiday all year so got a massive pay cheque. I'm a bit jelouse wish I could work my holiday and get more money. He took me out for a curry Iand said if we go to the football he'll sort petrol etc.

I always thought HSBC had a £10 policy, so if you go into your overdraft by less than a tenner then you didn't get charged.
Also when's your overdraft up for it's annual review? If it's within the next 6 months then make sure you budget £25, just in case they try and charge you for requesting a change in overdraft.
Good with the HSBC on the phone!0 -
Soo bad day at work today. Grrr if I have a bad day i'd usually pop to sainsburys for nice dinner or get a takeaway but I came straight home :j a friends popped over for a brew and listened to my work rant for a bit which made me feel a lot better.
I have an assertive management book I brought a while back ( when I used to spend money willy nilly alll those days ago :rotfl:) Must read this will hopefully help me with my work frustrations. I will make it my goal to have this read by the time i'm back from my week off.
So called HSBC there is nothing they can do about the charges .
Also my CC charges came out and put me over my limit  I've transfered £20 to cover it from my entertainment money but it hasn't cleared yet. Boo. Feels like 1 step forward 2 steps back at the moment but THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I GET CHARGED FOR GOING OVER MY LIMIT ON ANY ACCOUNT. Must not get disheartened and keep at it by the end of the month all accounts should be £100 away from their limits :j
Looking forward to payday again already just to I can pay off the cards etc. 12 days
Right off to find some food BF at work tonight so will unwind with a chic flick I think. xemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

Not much to report today.
NSD spent the morning watching the rowing. Whoop go team GB.
My Meerkat arrived today :j he is already listen on ebay. I got Vassily looking at other listings on e-bay he isn't one of the popular ones
Nevermind will see how he does. Wish I had more to sell or other ways of making money. I hate just waiting around for pay day to clear debt I want to do it now. Checked my entertainment account had £31.39 transfered the £1.39 over to HSBC overdraft account not much I know. Hoping I won't need to spend all of the other £30 thought. Gonna need milk but apart from that I can't think of anything else food wise I need.

Hi Hannah
I've just read your post, sounds like you're really dedicated to paying your debt off. Are you able to switch any energy/insurance providers to save more money? (just a thought!) Also I've seen lots of people on here mention about completing surveys on line to get vouchers etc or could you do a carboot? (I find my junk is someone elses treasure!!)
Good luck and I will pop back to your post from time to time to see how you are going. It shall provide me with motivation to get my own situation sorted...0 -
Hey
Cwal, Thanks for reading it helps knowing that others are checking up on me. Do you have a diary?
I'm so determined the last few days have been annoying with the bank charges but I just keep thinking this time next month I will be out of the danger zone on all accounts so must stick at it.
Our enegry and gas are both from the same provider and we get a good deal.
I have tried a few survey's before but never really got any return on them anf they tend to make my brain ache. At work there will eventually be a promotion available so if I have free time I try to spend it doing extra work and developing myself so when the oppotunity comes around i'll be in with a chance. It would mean a £4000 pay rise, company car and my bonuses would doublt. I feel my time is best spent on this long term goal.
Speaking of which I read a good chunk of my Develop Your Assertiveness book this morning :j feeling stronger already. Also called my dad and sis for a catch up.
I relisted some dress's that didn't sell in my last round of e-baying also put a DVD box set than I have no intention of watching on it was an unwated gift.
NSD again yesterday :T
10 days till pay day :j I'm more excited about paying of CC's than about having acutal money to spend. What the hell has hapened to me.:rotfl: Fingers crossed I stay this motivated.
Right off to make an omelette then may chill out in the bath before work. xxemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£

Hi Hannah
Thanks for your reply, I've no diary yet (only been on the site about a week) but am seriously considering starting one as I think it will keep me focused!
I hope the promotion comes soon for you - it certainly sounds like you are putting the effort in!

Hey
I would definatly recommend starting one has kept me on track so far.
Spent £1 on milk today
Made a massive lasagna for tea so i'm now stuffed. Gonna chill out and watch Chronicle.
Looking forward to tomorrow night seeing a few friends and watching Ted. Meeting in the pub a few hours before the film tomorrow. I'm owed £25 from friends for tickets so will use that money for drinks and hopefully come home with some change. Althought a friend is picking me and BF up was may let her off the ticket money.
The only other spend I'll need to make it sunday for the football. BF's 2 friends also have tickets so we've said we'd drive them and they are going to chip in for petrol. Will try to eat before we leave so i'm not tempted to splash out on exspensive unhealthy football food. Hoping we get back in time to watch the closing ceremony. Will chill and clean the house monday and have told my dad i'd go round on tuesday to help him with some gardening . So hopefully will have some money left over from my budget by pay day on wednesday :j

Thought i'd pop in quickly.
Spent most of the day watching the olympics. The triathalon was amazing. I'm meant to be getting ready for the cinema but don't want to move away from the cycling.
BF went to the gym today and left his bag, wallet, house keys and coat in a locker. He doesn't have a pad lock and when he went to fetch his stuff his locker was locked so he's hopinh someone locked there stuff in with his without realising and that it hasn't been stolen. He's waiting for a phone call from the gym. Bloody men.
Had the rest of last night lasagna foe lunch along with some cupcakes I baked.
Looking forward to later on :j:jemergency fund:£179/ £1000 Uniform/car fund:£
