  • :wave:Still here,

So back to work yesterday after a week off :(.

41 days and £88 saved from not smoking :T

I've got about £20 cash left and need prob £10 petrol a birthday present for my mum and my friends  the week off was more exspensive than I planned. I will have to borrow some money from the joint account to cover the presents and I told mum i'd take her out for lunch for her birthday  Annoyed at myself but nevermind it's done now. I will be extra frugal next payday to make up for it and will learn from my mistakes and look forward and plan months where there are a lot of birthdays going on by buying the presents from my month before budget!

Talking of presnts i'm in denial about christmas at the moment  I spoke to my sister last night and we agreed to set a spending limit to be discussed at a later date hopefully we can make this £10 we usually spend about £50 but we're both trying to be good money wise. Hoefully I can do the same with the rest of my family too. BF usually goes mad and spoiles me. Will have to talk to him as to match his present buying i'd have to spend all the money i've paid of both cc's and i'd be back to square one.:(

Right best get ready for work. I WILL be back soon. No more hiding!!

  • :wave:Hey,

So £10 petrol put in this should last till payday. Still need to get the 2 present. Putting this off till the actual day may get flowers, chocolate and a framed photo for my mum and not sure about my friend yet.

Still scared about christmas. Spoke to my sister yesterday and her husband has been made redundant went to work one day and was told it would be his last day and they'd pay him till the end of the month. Bit shocking how they can just do that. Hopefuly he finds something soon. This has made me even more determined to shift this debt asap as you never know whats going to happend and i'd like to have some emergacy savings one day. At the moment thought I feel it best to throw all my spare cash at CC's to reduce the interest and then if a emergancy happens use the CC's. I think if I had an emergancy fund it's dip into it when having bad days etc and the way i'm feeling at the moment i'd probably count christmas as an emergancy :rotfl:

I'm determind not to use the CC's for christmas it's taking so long to make a small dent on the balances i'd regret it soooo much.

Work is still horrible :( came home crying last night  Should get easier once I get used to it but at the moment it feels like I need to work 24 hours a day to start improving the place. I'd be fine with doing this if I get paid over time but i don't :( so I just get frustrated.

Not working till 4 today so going to chill and try to finish my book. Hope everyone is well. I will try to post more often as it really keeps me on track.

6 days till payday :rotfl: xx

    Hey Hannah, I'm back lol

Glad to see you've stopped smoking for a month now, lots of money saved, which is good.

Sorry to hear about your work, but once you get it sorted you probably, hopefully wont have to work such long hours. At least it stops you spending on impulse items as there's less time to shop lol.

I've just updated my diary after a few weeks not updating it!
  • :wave:Hey,

  • :wave:Evening,

So just got in from my friends wathcing x-factor and drinking tea at my friends. When did I get old!!! Wanted to up date as i've had a spendy day today and want to keep on track.

    46 days 2 hours and 31 mins £98.90 saved! :j

Soo managed to get mum's presents for about £20 and she seemed to be happy with them :j also paid for dinner at Nando's for me mum and BF which was £38. Still need to get some bits for my other friend in the next couple of days. Will keep this spend to £20 so will have to borrow £80 in total from the joint account! Will put this straight back pay day thought! Must be more organised for birthdays! Or maybe fall out with all my friends for a year to save money :rotfl:

We've been invited to a halloween party wednesday night. Working early thursday but have decided to pop for a little bit so I still get to see everyone probably won't drink so won't need to pay for taxis. May buy some cat ears and wear black...as it's a fancy dress party and I can't afford a proper outfit.

Someone drove past my car and broke the wing mirror off :mad::mad: Someone at work managed to bodge it with some tap but i'm going to have to bite the bullet and get it fixed soon. Grrrr this will have to go onto one of the credit cards as I can't afford it :( Due a bonus from work on the 15th not sure it'll be big (must check next time i'm at work) and was planning to use it to pay for the MOT which is due next month and get a few christmas presents. Someone told me the wing mirror may cost £200  1 step forward 2 steps backwards!! I will however talk to my Dad first he may know a cheaper option! Will call him tomorrow!

I have to look at the bright side of things if I hadn't of paid of the CC's I wouldn't have had anything to pay for fixing it with and I'd be in a pickle. God job i've already had my LBM!

When I have paid everything off I will start saving an emergancy fund.......

Seems a long way away still but i'll get there :T Patience!

Right rant over. Need to update more often so I don't have to rant so much. Feel better for being back on track now though.

I will be productive tomorrow! My plan is to read the rest of Mockingjay. I will not start reading until the house is tidy thought. I promise! :rotfl:

Off to enjoy my extra hour in bed.

  • Still here just being a bit quiet lately. I seem to have brken the habit of spending little bits of money here and there so don't feel the need to post every day to keep myself on track.

No money in the bank until 15th but I don't need to buy anything.

May need to make smaller than usual payments towards debt to cover christmas. I'm not to worried about this thought as it's a lot better than using CC's to pay for christmas like I have done in the past.

I'm due my bonus on the 15th think it'll only be £100 should cover my MOT fingers crossed. I'll get this booked in soon.

61 days non smoking now saving me £131.62 :j

    Hope everyone is well.

I'll be back on the 15th to update sig xx

  • Hi Hannah, have you made it to £8000?
I've been reading your post with interest, very skint myself. The hardest part was convincing myself I had to stop spending. January for me is no alcohol, no sweets, and no unnecessary spending!
    See how that all goes:eek:
