  • Hey

Half a day to go till pay day :j:j:j I've actually made it. It seemed so long. Normally at this point i'd of spend what little I paid off my CC's and they would all be maxed out but at the moment they both have a little left in them as I havent put anything on them :T. I know I owe BF £120 but I feel fine about this as it was needed. Next time tax come around I will have money saved up to pay it. Looking forward to having money in my account going to try not to spend all my allowance over the next 2 weeks and save it for my week off. Contenplating going out for lunch tomorrow before we go food shopping. BF brought me pizza the other night and I feel like I need to treat him back. Plus we don't get many days off together and I think he's a bit bored as everytime he's asked me to do something this week i've had to say no as i've been skint. But i'll try not to as I don't want to fall off the wagon and want to save money for my holiday. I'm babbeling again. Oops.

Cleaned the house top to top this morning, watched some olympics now BF has nipped to the gym so having a brew and putting my feet up and read through a few posts on here to keep me motivated.

Saved some sheperds pie mince (quorn i'm a vegi don't think i've mentioned that before) popped it in the freezer and going to buy some pastry tomorrow to make some pasties hoping if I spend time cooking nice things it'll stop me going to the shop to treat myself to junk.

Right off for a quick rummage throught some threads then will iron my uniform for the week, cook up the chilli for tea the we have a film to watch.

Will report back tomorrow after all money is sorted. I'm determind to keep at this diary to keep me on track. i've seen so many people start diaries then not come back.... I will be debt free!!!!!

Congrats Hannah, you've made it! Well done for not going to the credit cards and digging in and getting through. It's not easy to say no to social things you want to do.

Your boyfriend sounds like he's being really supportive, so I'm sure he'd appreciate something that's more about the effort than the money as a gesture of thanks, like a picnic or homecooked 'special' meal? Maybe let him know that some of your entertainment money is specifically set aside for date nights for just the two of you so he knows romance is still a priority, you just need to be more creative.

The quicker you're out of debt the quicker you can start living the way you want.
Debt free (finally) and saving a deposit for my first home.
  • Hey,

Thanks Ruby good idea. He got home from the gym and said he really fancied a curry I told him we'd go for lunch tomorrow instead and eat the chilli today. We've agreed on frankie and bennys they have quite a good lunch time deals. Also had a look and Ted is out on wednesday we have been waiting for this film all year so will use the rest of my weekly allowance to go see that one night this week. :j

  • Hey Claire thanks you so much :0)

Have been looking and our cinema does £5 tickets on a Tuesday and we're both of next Tuesday so we're going to go then so it'll keep me entertained on my days off. Have text a few friends to see if they want to come so will probably go for a cheeky beer after. Sooo fingers crossed this week all I will spend out of my £50 entertainment money will be lunch tomorrow (and tobacco to last till next pay day also something I haven't mentioned before Oops) then next weeks £50 will go on the cinema and a couple of drinks which should leave me some spare for my week off. I love a good plan now time to stick to it! Xx

  • evening hannah :)

Well done on making it to pay day :T

Have you used the snowball calculator on here it will show you what to pay off first (and then pay min. payments on everything else) I agree about not saving for an emergency in your case as you're still paying interest so are better off throwing at the cards & then using one if need be xx
  • Thanks that's a good idea I keep meaning to.

Where do I find the snowball calculator? I need to find out the exact amount of interest I'm paying on everything. I will do this all properly tomorrow.

Hoping that after Christmas I will be able to get a 0% to move it all over to, until then thought your right I need
to make sure I'm clever about where I pay off x
