Why do people exect delivery tomorrow but pay for 2nd class?

It's the listing you need to look at - at how long the seller said they would take to dispatch.
Although my opinion would still be whether or not it was reasonable to take X days to post after I'd paid; I'd also look at the listed times and feedback and base any purchase decision off that. I don't sit on buyers' money for any longer than I have to and like to support people who feel the same way about my money."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

"All items will be dispatched within 24 hours".
The listing seems fine and says all the right words.0 -
Yeah, I think you'd have good reason to mark it down."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Ah, fair enough.elisebutt65 wrote: »Despatch is 3 days & delivery 6-8. So he's already blown it0 -
I had one from a buyer a few weeks ago. Paid at 12 midnight on a Tuesday, 2nd class postage and 3 day dispatch. Emailed after they won and paid for item on the Tuesday night asking to be posted ASAP as they needed it for the Friday!

I bought some items yesterday (Friday) evening. I will not be getting bent out of shape if they don't get dispatched until Monday or Tuesday next week

IRT Cupcake: Sounds reasonable to post it right away. It might not get there but it's got a good chance of doing so if dispatched ASAP. If someone asked that I would endeavour to get it out, as long as it was realistic and not 'can you get this to me tomorrow morning?', I might even make it up to first class out of my own pocket - if there was a reasonable margin on it. I send first anyway.
There's no harm in the prompt sending of something; Amazon are pretty strict. I thought I could get away with putting my listings on live yesterday since I will be at home on Monday. Woke up to a purchase this morning; luckily the expected ship date is 16 June (Monday), so that's when I'll send it (was gambling on it being two working days and, unusually for me, won).
Once someone pays for something, there's no real reason to have it hanging around. I know you put 3 days, but I suspect a lot of buyers would think 'don't ask, don't get' - and keeping people happy is the key to good feedback and hence more sales."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Looks like Ebay are medling again.
I just went to put my usual 5 days dispatch time (even though i post next day) - and it pointed out that above 3 days is an "exceptional time".
Looked it up on google - and anything higher than 3 days dispatch will soon be highlighted to buyers - so they can avoid them
Tough look if your a casual seller who posts once or twice a week OR sell personalized or made to measure items.
Its actually ok for me - as i post next day anyway. I just added the extra days to allow for emergencies - in case i get an unreasonable buyer. But starting to put 3 days instead of 5, will probably increase my bids.

I expected 3 items that I purchased on Wed. to have arrived by today but only 1 has. Surely that isn't too much to ask. It said courier 48 hours.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--
