Congratulations CL!
Was lovely meeting up with some of the ante natal ladies yesterday. Went into town afterwards and it shattered me.
So after going to bed at 7.30, now wide awake! Had to come down and get some toast - tummy was rumbling so much and Lee needs to sleep.
Hope you've all slept well.Little man arrived 13 Dec 20120 -
I can't sleep either, but I need to be up at 6:45 for my 8am appointment at the physio!!
I keep getting these tightenings /pains in the cervix and pelvic area, no pattern yet, though. How early before proper labour do these start? I've been losing tiny bits of plugdduring the last three days but nothing significant and no blood. The tightenings happen at random I think, could they be BH? I only have these since last weekend and they feel very uncomfortable, specially in the cervix, as if the baby were touching it somehow.
Congratulations CL!!!! Another girl in the thread!Let us know how it was when you have some time!!
I failed at getting things ready today, no birth plan and no hospital bag completely finished, tomorrow has to be the day!! At least I washed her bedding, so if she arrives tomorrow at least.she's got a moses ready!!
I am going to try a sudoku and see if that puts me to sleep!!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Morning all, lots of lovely chatting going on but with baby brain by the time I've read through the thread I've forgotten what's been said!
Congratulations to CL on her baby girl, Rose - what a beautiful name.
Difficult night, woke up midnight with bad period / cramping and took some strong painkillers hospital gave me. Eventually went back to sleep so just keeping an eye on things today. Worried about waters breaking at home as there will be so much there's a danger of cord prolapse and would rather be in hospital!
martafdz I've been asking the same thing - how do you know when it's real? I've been into hospital twice now with contractions / pelvis pain and the monitor showed I was contracting but luckily nothing with cervix so after a three day stay and also a 24 hour stay I've been able to go home both times. I asked the midwifes 'what's the difference between this and early labour' - they said nothing really. I think you have to go with instinct! Hope sudoko put you to sleep
Rups32 I'm same as Queen_B - I've had those things twice (I call them Lucozades which is def. wrong!) and both times came back with no infection so it might be ok.
Btw, I'm very impressed with everyone's shopping and cleaning. I'm housebound and can't do much as been told to rest to stop contractions. But, like a crazy woman I managed to do all my Christmas shopping for families and friends by October 27th - important date as that's when I got married and saved lots of money on postageNo doubt the one and only year this will happen!! Though to be honest I have NOTHING for my new DH
Right, must log on to Amazon....

Thanks pea! Late night sudokus always make me sleepy, I think it is the staring at the board for ages, as I choose the very hard ones to do at night, otherwise I get all excited I am getting the answers if it is easy and I just do one after another!!
I went to the physio and she said my hip was again misaligned slightly. She did her best and then put tape (yep, thick blue tape) on the muscle that is bothering me so it stops it from overworking or something like that. We couldn't do much anyway, I have pain all over now and it was quite difficult to move, so the little bit of relief she gave me was great.
Now I am too tired to do anything else! Pea, I did much of my Christmas shopping early too, I started buying bits and pieces around September, plus some stuff I had from January sales! Lol. Yesterday I bought more things but only because I had to go out of the flat, otherwise I would have stayed at home! DH broke his glasses on Monday afternoon and he needed me to pick up the new ones so he can drive safely. We did not fancy driving to hospital without glasses! Lol I think the rest of my shopping is going to be online! DH has booked holidays for the next two weeks, so I won't be able to sneak out on my own to buy stuff lol.
I was worried there would be too much traffic nearby my house on my due date, as Manchester United plays against Manchester City, but apparently they play in City's ground, so that would be fine, it is the other side of the city. It is also the X factor final in the city centre, though, and the hospital is nearby, but we have an alternative route so we don't have to drive by where the show is being recorded.
I think I am going to have a nap and then prepare the damn hospital bag!!! I have midwife later on, so I will ask her about these tightening feelings and all that. I also think I have a small tiny tiny bruise on my bump, and a different shade in my skin close to the belly button. My DH said I must have bumped into something, but I would definitely had realized! I wonder if I pinched it with some of the clothing, since everything is so tight now for me, or even the belt. No harm in asking the mw, though.
Rups, I also had protein, sugar and leukocytes in the urine at different stages. Once they gave me antibiotics just in case to have for a week. They often find traces of something but it's always low levels, so I have not had to take any more antibiotics or anything.
I hope the postman comes today with one of DH's presents before I go out, I do not want DH to drive me to the collection office to pick it up, it would kind of spoil the surprise, specially if the package says where it comes from!!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Cl congratulations !!!....
I am sorry you all not sleeping too well... i guess is because it is the final weeks of your pregnancy journey and by that time is nrmal to feel that you are just ready for the baby to be born and unconfortable.
In the other hand, i am having really nice sleeps, i am guessing cos all this stress with my Oh, i just get in bed and collapse, not even needing the toilet more than once.
I am almost 32 weeks , can not believe it. My cot is up and needs bedding, apart from that, i am all ready for my baby girl to arrive.
Ohh and i need a coat !!.... my H&M parka(14 years old size tho, i guess is a size 10) cant be zip up, well i can do it but my poor bump. I need to get something to get me thu the next 8 weeks, freezing 8 last weeks.

Morocha, try a cape coat or something like that, you can always wear it afterwards. That was my plan but then I realized that I could be buying a coat and never wear it, since the cold weather just arrived and I am due this weekend! Topshop had a lovely maternity parka, though.
I wake up because of the tightening / contractions /BH /whatever they are, plus general lack of comfort, but I was sleeping fine until last week, most of the times with no toilet breaks or only one during the night. I think I have started to feel very uncomfortable about Thursday last week, from then onwards I feel different in general, more tired, more uncomfortable, bigger, slower, everything! Lol I need to remind myself that in a few weeks (or days) all this will be over and I will have a little third person in the house!!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Yes, my MIL got me a poncho but i feel silly wearing it. I need to go out and try a few...
My DD had a horrible cold on sunday and she is being very brave and still going to school, feel bad sending her tho, but they say if she is that bad they will ring me to pick her up. We have been treating her lots tho.
My MIL & FIL came to see me yesterday to see how i am coping, FIL is getting very depressed about the situation, feel sorry for him.
Im fine, i decided to just block it out of my mind and do the best for my baby and little girl right now.
I feel like i might be getting a cold but really want to go out because is dry, tomorrow it will rain but friday will be dry again...dont know what to do... town is so far away.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
morocha - I love my ponchos and capes
But agree they do take a little getting used to. I prefer the ones that button up at the sides as they are easier to get your arms out without lifting the whole poncho up. I wore them with DD and DS2 and have just got them out now as am finding doing my coat up a struggle
(I am 23 weeks but measuring 5 cm over) So I know they will be well worn again

Ooh this looks lovely, thanks morocha. How does that deal work with kiddicare then? I must investigate as it's on my list of things to buy and that seems really reasonable.
I've just signed up to be on Emma's Diary panel - apparently £0.50 - £3 per survey - link:
