i had a few days at work a few weeks ago where i had period type cramps. i often feel the belly just going hard and its so uncomfy. i did wonder when the real thing kicks in, would it be like period pains again as the BH thing, i get baffled by it. unless it is the BH but with pain?

god what am i like? i a bit of work in the kitchen and my back cant take it. am sore..:(

thanks for the words of reassurance ladies. today i was like 'bubs where are you?'. one of those days where i was just a tad bit worried. thank you. hugs. xx

  • Evening all. Hugs to those that need them :) bump still cooking inside seems quite happy in there. Hoping it will arrive before sweep on Saturday but the longer it goes on the more I can't see another induction coming on :(

Savage - do you have any plans for a sweep and then induction if no sign? Just wondered as I know it is different in different areas.

Well I'm off for a shower and then hopefully wrap some more Christmas presents, about 1/3rd the way through :T

Will be back later to Catch up :)

I went to the mw today and she has booked me for a sweep next Wednesday, isn't that too soon? I'll be 40+4.

Think the pain was baby moving... I have feet poking out the opposite side than usual XD

jonno - I have my "40+10" appointment tomorrow at the hospital, I'm not sure what they will do to be honest, I suspect they might offer me a sweep. I'd rather not have one yet, my midwives are happy for me to go up till the 14th before induction. I might need to be booked in for placenta scan thingy to check that's all OK to let me have the homebirth. I'll need to have a look and see what the options are. I wouldn't mind an exam to tell me if my cervix is 'ripe' yet but wouldn't want the rest of the interventions just yet. Although this baby seems far too happy inside....
  • Savage - hope tomorrow goes ok. Here they sweep at 40+7 and induce at 40+10 for second babies  midwife did mention induction next Monday but will hold until the Tuesday if no action. Don't really want the sweep but want a home birth more than an induction :o and it would be just like last time, constant monitoring, no mobile labour :(

    Keep us all posted x

i have that side pain today too bamama and its when baby lies on something in there i think too. just keep going to the loo as was driniking so much water today and am hoping to flush out this bad burning. its still there though.:( oh well can have more water but will stop soon otherwise will keep waking up even more in the night. sigh...

Thought I should pop in here and say hello since I'll likely be using this board a fair bit. I'm 21+6 in my first pregnancy, due in April, and think we're having a boy (the sonographer was about 85% sure). I've got an anterior placenta, so I'm not feeling much movement, but I get the odd kick/punch now and again - looking forward to my husband being able to feel the baby, but it's not happening yet.

Yep, me too. Only problem is if the sweep does really kick things off, OH won't be with me as he'll be at work, so I'd rather reschedule the sweep for another day. Hospital is only a short distance away and we don't have a car so it's walking (given tomorrow's weather forecast unlikely, although that might be good for moving baby along....) or bus / taxi, and I wouldn't want to try either of those on my own if the sweep worked a bit too well :)
