hello ladies. sorry have been MIA for a few days..i cant believe i havent had the chance to log on and read properly...:(

Bamama, so weird that you asked about the head engaging. when i went to see the GP, i asked him to check or tell me somehting as the usual bp check etc etc were done, so he pressed down really hard and i was screaming and he said not fully engaged. so when i went home and cheched my notes, he has written what looked like 3/5. so what does that mean? does it mean once the baby is engaged, then things are going to happen soon?

fell tired. finally, the heating was sorted yest so was waiting around for the gas man etc etc.. then today a friend from work organised a baby shower for me and my mum, mum in law and a few friends came so we were around 8 of us so that was fun. we played a few games and the sweet ladies got me some presents. wasnt fussed about presents but wanted a girly get together. so that was from 2-6 and then just chilling now and thought let me catch up. thought i would have time to surf the net and stuff. seems like i had more time at work to do that lol. will try and be better, promise.

am finding it difficult to walk a bit now. backs more sore. when i saw the gp he said my urine showed some lucosides??? whatever that means? so have to submit a wee sample on monday for the hospital. he did ask whether i had pain in passing urine and i said no but today i had a bit. been having lots of water and it seems to have helped. anyone has this before?
need to go and have some milk.:) x

Copying me now Rups :P as I've read here... just because the baby is partly engaged it doesn't mean things are closer or that the baby will stay engaged. But it *could* be a sign that things are progressing.

lol. yeah copying you. when i asked him he said not fully. and i thught mine will be slow. lol when i read through stuff i was like 3.5?? woahhh.. didnt like the way they press tocheck though. was painful. he said in 2 weeks time i see the mw, and as i will be 38 weeks, she will press even more.

i jusy feel heavy and cant walk but i must say when i read some of the comments here and poor women suffering from SPD, i feel so bad for them. I have been lucky thankfully and my main pain is back ache at the mo, and lack of sleep because i am just so uncomfy. i shouldnt moan..

Yea I try not to complain. Am suffering a little right now though. Lots for pain just inaide my hips all at the front. It's not mega painful just... never where I've felt it before. And when it stops baby kicks out which makes my belly hurt ><

I'm not fussed on the head checking. Like having your bladder squeezed. Try and relax though. Will hurt more if your muscles tense

i sometimes feel some weird pressure down there like i need the loo and happens when sitting down. sometimes also like i need a poo badly but its not that lol. just weird things that i dont recognise. have put my notes in my handbag so they will go everywhere with me. getting scarier now. on Monday am 37 weeks.. i do wonder when baby will come.. got 23 days as from today.

Anyone thought about some of the "cool" dates we could have? The three I've though of are...12/12/12, 20/12/2012 and my 2 weeks late date is 3/1/13

lol havent thought of cool dates but those are pretty impressive. esp 12/12/12 wow.. hmm lets see who goes first. could be you, or me or we could be both waiting. we said the same in our nct class. god knows who will go first or not. today as we were messing about in the baby shower my mum tried that 'trick' using my wedding ring and thread and you know when you move that over your palm, midwife tales suggest if it moves in a circular pattern, then you have are having a girl and if in a straight way then a boy. my mum seems to think i am having a little girl, but when she tried the ring, it came up as a boy. lol. now we have to see.
