Wouldn't worry Bamama, if you plan on breast feeding and it doesn't work out there are supermarkets open 24 hours than your OH can pop out and get bottles/formula/dummies unless of course you live in the sticks and that isn't possible

i live in the sticks so i have dummies, bottles and need to get some cartoon milk, different brands just in case. I will bf my baby but i will express too, so thats the reason why i have bottles.
MY girl was a very hungry baby and to give me a break at around 8 weeks i think, i was giving her a bottle at night, only one.

Haha. Fortunately I'm a townie... and actually kinda equidistant from two quite large towns

Morocha - I do plan to express but thinking on holding off until baby is in some sort of routine. i do have a small bottle that advent sent me free.

I had bottles in, but my wee one has quite a severe lip tie (that we didn't know about) and wouldn't feed from the breast or any of the bottles we had :eek: we went through 4 different brands before we found a teat that was suitable.

Definitely Morocha, I had bottles for the pump too

Thought OH wasn't coming home. But he kindly called in and woke me up after I've managed about 3 and a half hours sleep with one pee break. Hopefully I can get back to sleep.

Hi Aida, thank you for your kind words. As for giving you advice, forget it - YOU are going to do just fine! I just seem to muddle through everything in life. Yes, my births up to now were vag deliveries, but after a bad experience having my last one (first birth here in Canada), I asked for my first CS with this birth. So, I am reading the different stories of you ladies about sections and trying not to get too nervous about it.
One thing someone said to me a long time ago, was not to focus too much on the actual birth... try and plan for those crazy first days and nights when you first go home with the baby! I always have one baby bottle and a small carton of formula...have always managed to breastfeed successfully, but it's just for peace of mind. So far I haven't had to use it, but you don't want someone running out in the middle of the night to buy milk etc and leaving you to cope with a screaming baby. If anyone offers help/cook a meal/watch the baby while you sleep or shower say 'YES'!!!
Well I am going to have another slug of Gaviscon and then I am off to bed. Good night ladies!

bamama, thats early !! I am 30 wks today !! and i am such a moody cow, can not help it and feeel horrible for it!... I feel like iam going to attack someone, this last week has been horrible, i think my relationship going downhill is not helping, my house is a mess because my husband just can not be bother to clear out his stuff from the boxes... rant over.
