I've not had any pains or anything pretty much throughout but last night I had v. low down period type pains - right at the front under my bump - but baby was also restless as anything last night and possibly moving further down as well, so not sure if it was braxton hicks or practise contractions or if baby was just squashing everything! All gone this morning, but that does incentivise you to pack your bag!! OH's face when I mentioned the discomfort was a picture.... had to remind him he's supposed to be the one keeping me calm!!
  • hello ladies :)
Been peeking at this thread a few times, thought i'd pop by and say hello!!

I'm looking for some recommendations on prams, is there a thread for "tried and tested" baby items? It's soo daunting trying to find the right pram, without spending £600+ :O

We fell in love with the traditional style of the silvercross metropolitan from mothercare, but since checking the reviews we were left disappointed! and now back to the drawing board.

Was wondering what others have decided on?

    Hi

I've just got the Red Kite Zebu. It was perfect for us, compact for my tiny car and reasonably lightweight. It has car seat, carrycot and main seat bit for £289! Its all personal preference though I suppose. I loved one I seen in babies r us, alost bought it then went home, checked online and it had really bad reviews! I'm so happy with mine now though!

On another point I have my 20 week scan this afternoon! I'm so over excited! :j

hey forgottendreams how are you? We got the Graco Evo buggy with the top bit and car seat for around 370 from mothercare. we liked the size and as our car is small, that is ideal :) There are loads there and i got so confused, but glad we have one ordered or on the way. :)

Moneypenny i have 2 weeks and am counting big time! I am so tired. and those cramps are still there! :( not nice as went out for someone's leaving lunch and i could feel them there too. might have some paracetamol. someone recommended i ring the labour ward.

  • I have had period pains on and off for a few weeks Rups. I think it is just everything getting ready. It's annoying though.

Got to go back out in the rain to the MW now which is rubbish :-( can't be bothered to get soaked again!

Lol moneypenny, I think that at £10 each, if they aren't great I can always use them as night nursing bras for sleeping, but all 19 customers that reviewed them said good things, so I am looking forward to try them on.

Somebody was asking where to go to get fitted, I was told Debenhams and Bravissimo.

I also have just started to get some period-like cramps, sure in my case is not IBS though, I have some other condition with some symptoms in common and I get checked very regularly. I think it might be the baby starting to drop down in position, I can feel her a lot around my cervix these last few days, a bit uncomfortable!! Lol, savage, I know what you mean, I asked my DH to tell me that in a couple of months all these pains will have had disappeared and he was like: "but I cannot promise you that!", and I was: "of course you can, I won't be pregnant for another 8 weeks, just say it so I relax", lol. I want reassurance, I do not mind if it is a lie!!! :)

According to my pregnancy app, I have 25 days to go, it sounds too close if I say it in days!!!! I am not ready whatsoever!!!
