Morning all! I've had a reminder this morning of how lucky I am. Have been feeling sorry for myself the last couple of days cos I've caught a cold and am not feeling well, have done nothing but moan since the weekend to be honest. Then I woke up this morning to find that my friend who is six weeks behind me (so 29 weeks) has had her baby overnight, she'd been in hospital with suspected pre-eclampsia and I don't have much info yet but it looks like they had to get the baby out in a hurry. I've seen a pic, he is TINY and so beautiful, I have got everything crossed for them and it's really made me think that however crappy I might feel with my runny nose, it's really nothing compared with what my friend is going through. I'm so grateful for how well my pregnancy is going this morning, I really am.0

Wow missbunbury, that sounds scary for your friend. I hope they are both doing ok. It really makes you put all those little pregnancy aches and pains in to perspective doesn't it0

Morning Rups
what hours are you working? How long you taking for ML?
missbunbury - Hope your friend is ok along with baban. Everyone's stories here make me glad that I'm not had any problems. Like colli said, really does put it into perspective.0 -
i work from 9-5 (i know i shouldnt moan) but the commute is horrid. There are people pushing and shoving everywhere and delays most of the times. it just ruins my mood. i am so much better working from home and relaxed.
I am planning to take the whole year for maternity even though the pay is rubbish, so i have to be so careful and find other ways of making some money while at home (if i can of course)!
I am actually glad like mentioned that so far we have managed to be where we are without major complications like your friend missbunbury. I am always scareed of pre-term labour or giving birth way too early. i hope your friend and her bubba are ok. xx
am tired and yawning. lol i fancy a MCDonald's now. lolBecame Mrs H on the 1st of October 2011!!

Bamama,Fluffnutter and CL, thank you for your reply. My normal holiday entitlement is 29 day per calendar year plus we get the bank holidays. For Christmas and New year's day because the business is close, we take 3 days off from our holiday but we get 5 off in total (so the last working day is 21 Dec and we come back on the 2nd of Jan). Any ideas if that should apply to me too?Have the extra 2 days on top of the bank holiday?:smileyheaBaby Aida is here :j:j:jBaby fund - £3140/£60000

Could you work from home most of the week? Or maybe arrange to work 8-4 when the tubes are a bit less busy? My work are rubbish, no working from home and no flexi time but at least I've only got a couple of weeks left.0
