I've been waddling for a few weeks now and have no desire to cross my legs either. And sock putting on is problematic if I don't sit down as my bump is in the way so hopefully I'm doing these things right without thinking about it! I do normally sit cross legged on my chair at work though (I have flexible hips...) - did she make any comment about that?

savage she only said not to cross legs at all unless it's the ankles. She said joints get softer in pregnancy and crossing legs puts too much strain on joints on one side. That said, I'm sure there are many ladies who were crossing their legs and were fine.

Oops my message not too clear - I sit kinda like in the lotus position on top of my chair. So I guess it is my ankes that are crossed :) Weight spread equally across both bumcheeks!

Oh I see. She didn't mention this but if your weight is spread evenly then I guess it's fine.

moneypenny it does sound like ligament pulling to me - I sometimes get that if I turn over too quickly, and I also got the pain in the same places when I sneezed or coughed violently. Hopefully it'll ease off soon - I've found that I'll have weeks where I don't get any stretching pains, and then a week when I get it frequently - I think it also depends on the baby's position as to how much it affects me.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Moneypenny, are you on the list? Was trying to see when your EDD was and can't see you there (or am I suffering pregnancy brain?)

Never mind exciting! Try terrifying!! Hubby said my face was a picture. I shook from head to foot and said can we have 10 minutes to think about it. Mega shock. 3 midwives all stood there waiting on my answer lol. Consultant ran off and then came back and said actually the theatre team arn't keen so we will book you in for Monday ... So I did have another attempt at the ecv and a completely different experience. It couldn't have gone better. No pain what so ever. Gave me the drug first - tried to turn her 2 ways but her head just jammed under my ribs. He tried different ways to what the lady did. And he was firm but no where near as painful. It really was only uncomfortable and nothing else despite being sore already. She had only been doing them for 3 months so it helps to have the expertise. So with my over all evc experience I would say go for it. The drug whilst nasty does help a lot to relax the uterus. It only lasts 5 - 10 mins. And he only spent 10 mins working on me rather than the 1 hour she did! So yes go for the evc. It might just work for you. But make sure you get the consultant doing it not someone newly trained or an underling. So we are Q jumping ... Sorry!! And EDD is now Monday 16th July ...

I'll change the list Rebekah. Sorry you're not going to get the birth you wanted but exciting that you'll get to hold your baby girl in a few days :)
