You didn't need the fruit Moog... not if there was jam in the doughnuts.

Feeling left out that I've not had my jabs yet :(

There was jam, and also raspberries in the white choc cookies, so it was practically health food, right? :p:rotfl: feeling like a right piggie today, but I had so much work to finish I needed the sugar to keep me going! Got it all done though, really glad as I hate leaving things unfinished and it was the kind of thing that's hard to pick up if someone else has done the work.

All done now, so I don't need to think about anything sciencey til next August :j Hope I don't forget everything I've ever learnt :o it's really weird to think I won't be going to work next week after the weekend.

lucky you littlemoog. i am still envious :)

i wish i had had a nap because by the time i logged out and went upstairs, dh had left work earlier and so i offered to pick him up and practice any driving i could so by the time i did cover myself and nearly drift off, i had to get up after 20 mins and go and get him. groan. so no nap.

then we had an arguement when we got home. ;( feel a bit down but will try not to. obv before i met him he had his own friends and i have mine, but i feel he is so selfish about them and doesnt want to share with me. i know they are his friends but one of them said she will come and see us, before the baby is here, and i thought that is so sweet and then he goes ahead and arranges to meet her first and have a drink. now that i am writing this out, it means nothing big but he does act like 'they are mine mine mine'. i had that with my ex too and we never mixed friends so i said that it would be nice to know then too and he said he never said no, just wants to catch up with her first. which now makes sense. i got upset because he started saying stuff like he feels like he is talking to a 2-year old. i got so insulted at that. :( hormones maybe. sorry after writing all that, it makes me feel better and also see tht yes he is allowed his own time with his friends but calm down about it. :(

    Froglet due March 2016 :D
  • Evening ladies, sorry I didnt get on sooner to update you all. I tried last night and they site was down and have had a busy day to and fro hospitals.

So I was called into the hosp yesterday aft because they found out I had obstetric cholestasis. When I got there they monitored babies and all was ok, though twin 1 took longer to reach the criteria needed (same happened last time I was monitored too, will mention that to consultant next appt), said I need to be monitored every few days now and have bloods done each time. Also needed a liver scan today and a doppler to check the flow through umbilical cords. They gave me tablets along with vitamin k to take daily and said they wouldnt let me go past 37 weeks. Which falls next sunday!

So we were sent home with strict instructions to fast for the liver scan. The only problem there was I had a heart ecg already booked for 11am so they couldnt get me in for the liver scan until 2pm. So I had to fast from 7am :o. I had cereal at 6.30am but I was starving by 9am! Anyway I survived without food for a few hours and I was told I have some stones forming in my gallbladder and some fluid around my kidneys but thats to be expected apparently. And the flow was good through umbilical cords too. So just got to keep taking the tablets and go back for monitoring monday. My next consultants appt is wednesday so will be discussing a date for inducing then

I was also told to keep an eye on movements and if anything changes I need to ring them straightaway. Im a bit worried about this tbh cos I find it difficult to tell which babys moving sometimes as they both kind of kick in the middle of my bump . So no idea how I will know if one doesnt move as much :(

Was half hoping they would say they wanted the babies out now. I just feel like at least I could keep an eye on them properly if they were here already :o

Thanks Cherrydrop for your message. Put my mind at rest so I do appreciate that :). Hope you had a nice time at the wedding

Taadaa, did the contractions continue, are you having baby cuddles now? So exciting

Ikkle, what a birth story that is, sorry it didnt go as planned but hope you are having lots of lovely snuggles to make up for it

Bamama, ours was very much planned. Over 3 years of trying and a negative ICSI cycle, we eventually got pregnant on a frozen cycle :T. We went into this thinking DHs vasectomy reversal, though it worked, hadnt worked well enough. Only to find it was my low egg reserve that was the problem :o. If only we had known that from the start we could have saved thousands! Re jabs, I had one in each arm but it was only the whooping cough one that hurt for about 4/5 days

Mrs B, I dont think you over-reacted regarding the cats. I would have been the same. We have 2 cats and a dog, and tbh DH is the one who is being weird about them. He keeps saying things like 'the cats wont be allowed in the house when the babies arrive' and how the dog will be banished from the living room with a baby gate up. It makes me so mad, how on earth are they ever going to get used to the babies if they cant come into the same room as them . Theres no chance of them being banished btw, it just makes me angry thinking that we are going to be arguing about all that when babies are here. Its not as if I would leave the babies unattended with the animals in the room, and if the cats try and snuggle up to the babies I will tell them off and show theyre not allowed. Thats how they learn!

So sorry for the massive post, and the rant :rotfl:

  • Oh gosh cake4brains that sounds scary. How exciting that the twins will be here by next Sunday though! Must seem strange to have a date.

I am laid in bed with DS watching cBeebies. I can't be bothered to get up but am starving so will have to get up soon.

I thought by giving my studies in, I'd be able to keep up with the thread. Work's been manic so not logging on as too tired in the evenings.

Had my jabs this week (one in each arm) and the aches are now subsiding. Have been reading the email digests when I can but not remembering much at the moment.

    Hope everyone's well :)

You will be ok hun, you shouldn't need any testing its more a case of your more prone to food poisoning etc when pregnant. I've eaten rare steak, seafood, salami etc whilst pregnant x

Thanks ikkle! I was hoping for a response like that :)

Cake4brains - good to hear things are ok and they are keeping an eye on you - very exciting that your little girls will be here soon!!

Our little one was very much planned too. Tried for just under 3 years and conceived on our second IUI cycle. I also had two operations along the way. I think that's partly why I am excited about labour rather that scared as I'd come to terms with the fact that it was an experience that I might never get to have. Although it will be painful and tiring and who knows what it will still be an incredible experience.
Proud to be a moneysaver!
  • It's quiet on here today!

I am very excited because we are out for dinner with friends tonight then get a lie in tomorrow. After a week of moping at home with back pain k am super excited to be going out.

Our bubba was planned too, although we were very lucky and got pregnant within a couple of months this time.
