Thanks for all the advice on my friend ladies. Much appreciated. Hopefully we'll have a lovely time catching up.

Bam - I'm an egg farmer and the likelihood of catching Salmonella from runny eggs is pretty minute as if you buy lion stamped eggs they're vaccinated against. I also know how rigourous the testing and audits are that we have to go through - we'd be closed down within a day and our eggs are traceble to remove others from the shelves. BUT it is government advice so I do think there must be a reason - don't just listen to my opinion!

Cant remember who was asking about this but lactulose has been a godsend to me since I had to start taking extra iron tablets. Its like a sugar syrup so not too nasty tasting. I just take 1 or 2 teaspoons a night before bed (when I remember :cool:). You can buy it over the counter or get it free on prescription with your maternity card. You can take fybogel as well but I dont find it as effective

MissKeith, Ive never heard of rib flare but it doesnt sound nice at all

Had midwife appt yesterday. My usual midwife has transferred to the hospital so got a new lady. She is so much nicer and explains everything in depth. Wish we'd had her since the beginning! She said twin 1 was 4/5ths engaged :T. She also said she will see me in 2 weeks if I make it that far!

Had lots and lots of BH this last week with cramping inbetween. I even woke up at 4.30 the other morning and put a shower curtain under my bedsheet as I was so convinced things were happening :rotfl:

Oh FYI, rib flare is the equivalent of SPD in the ribs. It isn't pleasant at all, I'd incredibly painful and can be debilitating. I've just been to see my GP and because I'm still havingrandom contractions, I've been signed off for two weeks. I don't get paid sick because I haven't worked for my company long enough, God knows how we'll afford this set back!

Hi everyone.

Well i thought I might be better at keeping up on here once i was on mat leave but i was wrong lol!

Can't quite believe I am no. 9 on the list - 12th Nov is still ages away isn't it!? :eek:

Cake that is very exciting! I've not had any BHs yet but am really hoping my little one is nice and comfy in there and stays put a while yet as we are not ready - but then I'm not sure I'll ever feel completely ready. I usually work well to deadlines so its really weird not knowing when your deadline actually is!

Oh and I did something bad the other day and ate undercooked beef. For some reason I thought it was ok, double checked before I ate it and it was on the avoid list but was already on my plate so i told myself it would be fine. Then afterwards read a bit more and realised it was due to the risk of toxoplasmosis eeek. Will mention it to my midwife next week and see if i need testing or anything

Right I'm off to do some baking
